Mari- "i-i'll go call des and tell her" we got her to the car and rushed to the hospital. As I was driving I kept looking between her and the road.

Ma- "keep your eyes up there. i got her" she was applying pressure to where she got shot. As we arrived at the hospital my eyes started to get blurry. We got her in to the ER and they took her back.

"sir can you tell me what happened" the nurse asked me

"uh- um we were talking and this car rolled pass and started shooting"

"do you know who it was so we can make a statement"

"no" the nurse sighed and left us in the waiting area. I went to sit down and my heart was beating way too quickly and my head started to hurt.

Mr.T- "tae tae keyontae!" he said shaking me

Mr.T- "ima need you to breathe" I shook my head no, cause I couldn't, like I physically couldn't breathe.

Mr. T- "TAE! boy- if you don't start breathin now ima hurt you" it took my a minute but I did it.

Ma- "ima assume you're aaliyah's dad and not some random grown man yellin in my child face"

Mr. T- "i am. now can somebody tell me why the FUCK my daughter is in the hospital"

"i'm sorry" I said breathlessly

Mr. T- "for what, what happened to her tae"

"we were talking an-and i saw a car kept rolling pass so i tried to tell her to come on but she wouldn't move and before i could do anything the-they started shooting. i thought we got down in time, i swear i did, i'm so sorry"

Mrs. T- "she'll be ok baby" she said with tears in her eyes and she held on to Mr. T

Mr. T- "tae who did this to my baby"

"i-i don't know"

Me. T- "yes you do, who did it tae"

"mr.t i d-don't know"

Ma- "is anybody after you right now"

"no not that i ca-"

Mr. T- "don's?"

"yes" I said realizing I should have done something when I told her I was.

Ma- "baby you gotta stop crying and calm down" she said coming to sit next to me and bringing my head in chest.

"i'm so sorry mr and mrs.t"

Mrs. T- "it's ok cause she'll be fine"

Des- "where the fuck are the doctors at!"

Mr.T- "destiny!"

Des- "WHAT"

Mr. T- "calm down."

Des- "HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CALM DOWN AND MY SISTER GOT FUCKING SHOT" she said breaking down into Mari

I don't know where I was but it was dark. Very cold too.

"aaliyah" I turned around and saw grandma

"oh hey granny"

"why are you in the hospital"

"the hospital?"

"yea, you're in the hospital"

"no, we're in your house" I said laughing

"have you taken your medicine"

"girl boo, but baby you're in the hospital"

"why would i be in the hospital"

"that's what i asked you. what happened before you came over baby"

"i was with my boyfriend. well not really but really, i don't know but we like each other. i gotta tell you all about him" she smiled at me

"what were you guys doing"

"just talking because i was gonna go home, i had just met his mom but then i got dizzy and now i'm here"

"baby..."

"yes"

"i passed away a few years ago"

"granny quit playin" I said laughing then looked at her and she was serious

"so why are we- am i dead!?"

"no not at all baby. you're just high" she said laughing

"i don't see you when i'm high"

"yea i wanna talk about that. but not now, you gotta wake up before my son has a heart attack"

"oh...well i miss you"

"i miss you too baby" she gave me a kiss on the forehead and walked off. Then, it was dark again. I started to slowly wake, it was bright. When my eyes adjusted I was in a hospital room and my family was in here.

Ma- "oh baby we were so concerned" she said hugging me

"where's tae" and I hissed cause my arm shocked me

Des- "...we don't know"

"what does that mean"

Dad- "when they told us we could come see you, he left"

"he left?"

Mari- "i'll go call him"

"can i still use my arm" I said looking at it all wrapped up

Des- "girl yea. you got shot in the armpit" I laughed. They talked to me and then the nurses came in to check on me. We talked until they had to leave but Des stayed with me.

"do you think he's gonna go do something" she asked me

"yea...i hope he doesn't get hurt trying to"

"he said it was don's friends that did it"

"not surprised, but whatever he does they'll be there with him"

"yea"
