AJ & Leo were from Maze D. The pair were amongst the group who had originally arrived in the maze and ran the group of teenagers. Naming the livable area, the Sanctuary or Sanct for short, the group of clueless teens had soon all found jobs and slowly but surely created a life within the maze. Despite, the hardships that they were forced to face, they managed to create society and friendships.
Through years of trial and error and efforts from all parties, a group of five Sancters escaped the maze and were rescued from WCKD, who the teens had discovered were behind putting them in the maze and stealing their memories.
Now, AJ and Leo were safe in the facility run by Mr. Janson and were set to go live new lives! That was until a new group of teens arrived and dragged the pair with them on their adventures, saving their lives...
