AJ had since arrived at her dorm and was now sitting on the edge of her bed swinging her legs back and forth, waiting for Aris to arrive at her dorm. The girl had always been rather impatient and was beginning to get annoyed at the younger boy. Just as she had decided she was done waiting for Aris, the vent popped open. The boy's feet stuck out as he had just kicked the vent open.

"Took you long enough vent-boy" AJ muttered, pushing his feet aside and climbing into the vent.

"Yeah whatever, learn to be patient. I can't just climb into the vents whenever I want."

The girl rolled her eyes, chuckling slightly as the pair began crawling through the vents and toward Thomas' room.

"What are your roommates' names?" AJ asked suddenly.

"Uh.." He took a moment to think, "August, Jin and Leo, that boy you sit with."

"So uh, funny story. I kind of promised to show Leo what I meant by "This place isn't safe" so could you perhaps get him from your room while I get Thomas?"

Aris scoffed, "What do I get in return?"

"How about I won't kick you in the ass because right now I'm in the perfect place to just rock your shit, like absolutely punt y-"

"Okay fine. Just stop talking about kicking my ass. I'll meet you by the corridor grille, alright? Don't take too long."

"Promise! Thank you, Aris!" The girl smiled, taking a left while he took a right. As she crawled toward Thomas' room, she couldn't help but think about what would happen if the stretchers they saw actually did carry bodies on them. Would they escape? Would they stay and rescue more teenagers? Would they figure out a way to save the bodies if they weren't already dead? It was scary, not knowing what lay ahead, but luckily AJ had reached the brunette's room so she didn't have to think about it any longer.

Using the Aris technique, the girl pushed her hands up against the metal walls and launched her feet into the grille, launching it across the floor. She then slid out, smiling up at Thomas who held a keycard in his hand.

"Hey, Thomas" The girl smiled, dusting off her pants. "That plan of yours was actually kind of genius, pretending to fight the guard to get the keycard. That rhymed- anyway, you ready?"

"Thomas, who the shuck is this?" The attractive boy asked, lifting an eyebrow.

"Doesn't matter right now- Maybe you guys are right, maybe I'm just being paranoid." As the boy spoke, he squatted down to where AJ was sitting. She then slid into the vent, letting the boy finish his conversation. "But I gotta find out for sure. Just cover for me, I'll be back as soon as I can." Thomas finished, sliding himself into the vent and following the girl toward the grille where they were to meet Aris.

"Where's Aris?" Thomas asked as the pair began crawling through the vents.

"Getting my friend Leo."

Thomas didn't reply so AJ could only imagine that he nodded in response as the pair approached the grille only to see that Aris hadn't arrived yet. "Okay, Aris should be here soon," AJ spoke, sitting down, being bathed in the red light of the vent.

"Did you meet Leo in the maze?" Thomas asked, looking up at the girl.

She nodded, smiling, "Yeah, he and I were a part of the first group in the maze. I was second-in-command and he was practically the mother of the Sanct."

Thomas chuckled, "The mother?"

"Yeah, he would do most of the laundry, sew our torn clothes, help out in the kitchens. Everyone would go to him whenever they had a problem that wasn't deemed important enough to be sent to our leader. It was tough being in there for so long, but he helped us through it, helped me through it." The girl smiled, thinking back to her time in the maze. "How long were you stuck in the maze?"
