Chapter Fifteen

Adrika

I've managed to escape from the security guards. But I must say they are damn efficient. What don't know is they can't track me down as I left my phone at his home. He gave me my phone after the reception. I know he must've installed some software that will be used to track me. I know am intelligent. An imaginary hair flip.

"ADS!" Is the first word I heard as soon as I entered Adheera's cabin. But it is not from my brother.

"I'm surprised seeing you here Rudy!" I said after I greeted Rudra properly.

"What can I say? I am eagerly waiting for your call from so many days but you became so busy in your new life that you can't even remember me. So when Adheera said you are coming to hospital I can't stop myself from coming and seeing you." He said caressing my hair.

"Don't start with busy and all, Rudy. You know I'll never forget you." I said.

"I know, Ads. Now tell me how is Arjun treating you?" He asked after we both settled in the chairs.

"I can say he is treating me good but then I'd be lying because we did not even had a decent conversation till now."

I continued. "He tries to talk normally but something happens I will snap at him. And it goes on. Till he leaves the room. He did not even ask me how am O adjusting in his home till now. And I think it's natural because I don't expect anything else from him. I don't know how to be with him. And I also can't leave him because I love him." I said.

Rudra listened to me carefully and he did not react for sometime. Just processed what I had said.

"It will get better, Ads! I know it will. Just be with him like you are right now. Don't sit with your blank face. First try to befriend him. Adrika, friendship is the base of any relationship. So start to be his friend." He said caressing my hair.

"Okay. I'll try. If not for me, I'll do it for Adheera." I said thinking about all the remarks Aishwarya has thrown at me in these last two weeks.

"Adrika, you have to think about yourself. Don't ruin your marriage thinking about Adheera and Nishi. You may think it might not effect you but it will. Marrying your love is not enough. You have to make that person to love you too. Then only your marriage will have a meaning then it is nothing, baby. Think, okay!" He gently said to me.

"Rudy, Right now I am happy that I atheist married Arjun whom I love. And I also want my brother to have that. So I'll everything in my power to make it happen. In that process I may loose everything. And I don't care. Because I'll have you all, right?" I said.

Eventhough I'm portraying a brave face but inside I feel empty saying this. The chances of Arjun hating are high if I am the reason for his sister's heartbreak.

"For now don't think about anyone but yourself, Adrika. When the time comes, you can think about anyone. Okay?" He asked.

I nodded.

He looks at the wall clock and sighs.

"Adhi said he will be here by an hour. That is two hours ago. When will you leave to your new home?" He asked.

And I smiled sheepishly.

"Why are you smiling? Oh! Oh! You are staying for the night at your parents house?" He asked again.

I shook my head.

"Did you tell him, at least?"

I shook my head again.

"Adrika!" He yelled.

"What? He might have known by now that I am here. No need to inform him. When he is stalking me!" I said.

"And I'm not going to that house for a week or till he comes and gets me." I said.

"Ridiculous!" He exclaimed standing.

At the same time Adheera decided grace his presence.

"My baby!" My ever so dramatic brother shouted hugging me.

I love my brother!

"And he decided to show up!" Rudra remarked.

He ignored him.

"Adhi leave me!" I said as he is trying to crush me with his wait.

He instantly left me. Soon he got a call. He gestured it is Arjun. He started speaking something about Aishwarya etc..

I shouted "Adhi" just to let him know that I am with my brother.

After few seconds the call was finished.

"Are you ready to leave?" I asked him.

"Yeah baby. What do you want to do tonight?" He asked.

"Whatever, Adhi. Can we go to your apartment?" I asked him.

"Of course. The last time we all had dinner together was almost a month ago. So I thought we all will go a restaurant but now that you want to stay at home. We can either order or cook for ourselves." Adheera said.

Actually I don't want to go out because Arjun will know and I am not feeling like going outside.

"We don't order, Adhi. We can cook for our girls, right?" Rudra asked with a teasing smile on his face.

Because Adheera doesn't know how to cook!

"You mean you, right?" Adhi asked rubbing his neck.

"Did I say just me. No. I said we." Rudra started his play.

And their banter continued till we reached the apartment.
