the porch light illuminated his face, a mellow shade of yellow not only blinded his eyes but blocked his vision of looking in to the window that faced outwards of your bedroom.
there was sore on his bottom lip from biting the soft skin which in return made the gentle skin break and bleed. he kept swiping his tongue from side to side, tasting the copper while trying to get the best angle to even see a quick glimpse of you walk in front of the window. he wasn't even sure if the light to your room was on or off. he didn't even know the time- it could be 5pm or 5am he had not even a single inkling to what day it even was.
slighting craning his neck and stepping back a few steps the reflection of the porch light became slightly more dull and not as luminescent yet his feet had touched every square inch of your property where he imagined it would be a good enough view to see inside your window. he couldn't see from underneath as your window pane was far too big and jutted out for him to see anything. this agitated him but causing a scene was the last thing he wanted to do- especially with stu in the car right behind him. if stu ever saw him freak out in even the slightest- he wouldn't hear the end of his playful banter for the rest of time- even in death.
a sigh escaped his lips and against his wishes and turned on the heels of his feet, the soles of his shoes making a shredding sound. he had been grounded in that spot that his shoes had glued themselves to the hard gravel cement of the street your house was built on. he figured it was time to leave, that light was a security system of its own by preventing him from merely even looking in through the glass.
and with that he cursed under his breath and walked to the opposite side of the street and opened the car door. the sudden jolt startled stu and there were the fast food fries- thrown up into the air which hit the interior roof of the car. the fries were scattered all over the floor. only god know how old they were and how many bugs had traced their grimy little hands over them and picked at the golden potato.
"did you see her?" stu asked inquisitively, he waited a good twenty or so minutes watching his best friend carefully walk around the frontside of the house. his head was titled upwards with eyes glued to the top window of the house- any passerby would've thought he was on some concoction of drugs.
with pristine painstaking carefulness billy ever-so-slightly closed the door to the drivers side car and turned the engine back on again. "no, that damn porch light wouldn't let me." his tone was unnerved and his knitted eyebrows and clenched jaw told the rest of the unspoken story. stu knew how blinding the porch light was as they discussed plenty of nights prior to before this night. "we'll have to wait until tomorrow." the brunette sighed, his knuckles gripped the leather wheel in front of him so tight his knuckles began to turn a ghastly shade of white that made him (quite literally) appear to look like a ghost. "you told her about that party you're having tomorrow night." billy craned his neck to stu who was now flipping the portable mobile phone between his left and rights hands, his eyes bouncing between the phone and back up into billy's eyes.
" ofcourse! she said she would come, so it'll be easier to do it that way." stu smirked a little giggle appearing at the end of his sentence. "you know what i'm thinking right?" stu stopped tossing the phone between either of his hands but was now still- unnaturally still. both of their minds were focused on the same thing.
" let me drive out of her street. that would be so suspicious. you know in horror movies the girl always looks out the window first before heading downstairs to open up the front door." billy suggested slowly driving out of the residential area, his heart was practically jumping out of his chest with twisted and sadistic excitement.
" i told her to come by right after school-"
"she's probably going to do something with tatum and sid. it's going to be a fucking friday, you moron." his voice was identical to poison when mentioning the other girls' names, adding onto there being two different individuals he had to "worry about" in his words. he spat, riled up already form the lack of looking-in-the-window stalking adventures he and the other boy usually filled their weeknights up with.
billy turned a corner, then another, making a left then right down a few more blocks until he, himself was slightly unsure of where he could be. pulling into empty parking lot he found a spot towards the very back to where the woods were barely meeting the trunk of the car. it was calming oddly enough.
"ok andddd? it's a friday! everyone has parties on fridays" stu countered, he knew that billy couldn't disagree with him on this one. billy put the car in park and told stu to dial the number he knew by heart like it was the back of his hand. he felt as if his heart were about to jump out of his chest with that same twisted and sadistic excitement.
