"This is it, folks! The moment we've all been waiting for. The final match to determine who will be the victor and champion. Will it be Miguel Diaz from Cobra Kai Karate?" the announcer says, standing in the middle of the mat as Robby and Miguel stand on opposite ends, waiting for their final match to begin. The crowd cheers as Miguel looks at his competitor across from him, shifting slightly as he stands. [Your name] claps with a smile on her face for her friend, excited to see him get so far in the competition. She now sits with Moon and Demetri higher up on the bleachers. She decided to sit with her other friends after being informed by Daniel that Amanda took Sam and Anthony home and that he would give her a ride instead.
"Will it be Robby Keene, unaffili-" the announcer is cut off as another member of the board runs up and starts to whisper something into his ear. [Your name] frowns slightly and leans forward in her chair to get a better look at Robby. He glances at her and frowns slightly as well before the announcer says, "Daniel LaRusso's gonna coach? Daniel LaRusso is gonna coach!"
"What?" Demetri mutters in confusion. [Your name] smiles widely as she looks back at Robby, who looks behind him to see Daniel walking up to the mat. The announcer continues to talk, announcing the new change in a more formal matter as the crowd goes wild, but [Your name]'s not paying attention to them. She watches Daniel roll up his sleeves as she grows happier to see the two officially make up. Daniel walks off to meet Johnny in the middle of the mat, prompting Robby to look back at [Your name]. She claps her hands together in joy as her smile somehow widens ever more, making him smile as well.
"Are they allowed to make that change this late in the competition?" Demetri asks. [Your name] looks away from Robby to look at her other friend beside her.
"I mean, he wouldn't announce if it were against the rules, no?" she points out. Demetri shrugs and leans forward to rest his elbows on his knees. [Your name] turns her attention back to the mat as the referee has them do their bows before taking their fighting positions. Only one more second passes before the ref calls the fight to start.
Miguel jumps into offensive mode and swings at Robby, but he uses his Miyagi-Do training to successfully block each jab and kick. They inch closer to the edge of the mat before Robby knocks Miguel back and lands a kick to his chest, winning the point. [Your name] cheers as she watches him return to his spot, waiting for Miguel to get off the mat. He finally stands and they get into their fighting positions as the other Cobra Kai members shout encouragement to Miguel.
"You're cheering for that guy?" Moon asks, genuinely curious. [Your name] nods and smiles as she keeps her eyes on the mat.
"Yeah, he's not a bad guy. It was just bad circumstances with the party. Let's go, guys!" she says, shouting the last part as the crowd dies down in their cheers. Robby looks over at her and smiles slightly as the ref calls the fight. Miguel throws a kick at him which he only narrowly dodges, having been caught off guard. He continues to try and block Miguel's swings, but is quickly hit and loses the point, making them tie. [Your name]'s face drops slightly as they step back to their spots, now feeling bad that she distracted him.
She watches the next round quieter than before and absorbs every swing and block that the two make. Her attention never diverts from the match as Miguel keeps throwing punches at Robby before elbowing him in his left shoulder. [Your name] gasps as Robby grabs it before being swept to the ground and hit by Miguel, losing yet another point. She stands up as the round ends to try and see if Robby's okay, but he writhes on the ground for a second before Daniel calls time. Miguel walks back to his side of the mat as Daniel makes his way over to Robby.
