SEÑORITA.
chapter eleven.IT DIDN'T TAKE CELESTE THAT LONG TO WAKE UP FROM HER SLUMBER, although, the feeling of disorientation was the first occurrence she awoke to. Looking around to her surroundings, it wasn't unfamiliar to her where she could've landed herself because of fainting from fatigue and reservation. The strong fragrance that beds and rows of flowers give off was the first thing that she sensed as she sat up from the bed she was put to rest.
Isabella's room, promptly speaking, was just the perfect room for someone to rest at. It didn't even take a second for Celeste to sigh as she realizes that she was confined in her dearest friend's room, probably because of Alma Madrigal.
"Ugh, what the heck happened? Isa? Camilo...? Mirabel?" She mumbled as she gazed around the bright pink bedroom filled with flowers. She was half-hoping that someone would just up and appear, but eventually, no one did and she was left to sigh to herself.
She blinked her eyes multiple times, her arms feeling weak as hell as she tried stretching them only to feel her energy get drained severely. Even her eyes couldn't open properly, defining how tired and wearied she currently is. And while catching her breath, the young fifteen-year-old eventually managed to get out of the humongous bed she was earlier placed on.
Assuming that she did fall unconscious earlier, Celeste rubbed her forehead in disappointment and angrily slapped both of her cheeks while groaning. "Stupid! Who in the world faints all of a sudden in the middle of an important event?! Celeste, you're so dead! Darn it!" She grumbled out loud, not fearing that anyone will hear her because no one will for Isabela's room was completely empty.
But despite yelling out loud her frustration, the lingering feeling of what happened earlier before her dismissal was dragging down her mental stability. And eventually, she sighed and dozed off, staring at her reddish hands that were probably too used.
"I shouldn't have fainted, I was supposed to be there for her. Darn you Celeste... ugh, you weren't supposed to leave her. Mirabel, I hope you're okay." Celeste mumbled, rubbing her forehead as she expressed a despondent and regretful face.
"She needed me, yet..." Celeste tried so hard to not be sucked in by both guilt and the thought of being useless and being a person not worthy of being trusted. She pushed away these thoughts and mentally slapped herself, feeling incredibly regretful. However, nothing will ever make her hesitate to redeem herself.
So without the slightest hesitation, despite feeling extremely dead beat, Celeste forced herself to stand up from the comforting embrace of one of Isabela's flower beds. Brushing off her now unbraided hair from her face and rubbing her eyes slightly, but she raised an eyebrow once she noticed her attire.
"Wait- Why am I in a nightgown? Huh?" An abrupt question escaped her mouth as she looked down to her body, seeing herself dressed in a porcelain white silk nightgown sewed with rather uncanny star designs.
