Death is a concept that not all of us understand. We have a common opinion that it's the end....the end of life. Yes, it is the end of life, but it's not the end of your existence. You can never be completely wiped out of the world.
For those who don't believe in ghosts, let's talk about history.
What are fossils? A fossil is any preserved remains, impression, or trace of any once-living thing from a past geological age. Yes, they are dead, but they still exist in material form.
Coming to human history.......things, articles, materials used in the past are still stored and preserved in museums. They have been used by humans in the past and that cannot be taken away from them. The humans are and will always be attached to these articles. Alive or Dead.
Now some people may call it a fossil, while I call it your soul.
I believe in eternal life after death. But you don't attain it immediately. Souls are always attached to something, living or non living, which causes them to be bound by them, preventing them from setting themselves free.
The souls which are attached to living things is usually because of of a certain feeling they have towards them. It could be hatred or immense and deep love. For the ones who are in love; just seeing the person they love, grow and move on sets them free.
While those who have hatred, just need to forgive the person who hurt them and caused them to hate them.
Now for souls that are attached two non living objects it's a bit difficult because they themselves have to let go of it. And they can't seem to convince themselves to let go.
This is the same case with Lucille.
..............
My mind went blank as I fell into the red clay.
But this time I didn't sink. I didn't drown or get suffocated. I just floated above it.
"Since it all out in the open," Lucille stood at the balcony staring at me, "Leave. And never return back."
"Only after I help you."
I would leave, yes. But not without helping her.
"The best way that you can help me, is by leaving this house."
"Take my hand." I didn't know how I did it, but my body was floating up and I stretched out my hand to her.
"I don't want to leave." She spoke through gritted teeth. "This is my house and I'm never leaving this place."
"It's time Lucille, time to say goodbye...... You won't find what your looking for down here. Peace will come to you.... Once you've paid for your sins."
"I'm not going anywhere." She flew up to my and caught my neck, strangling me as she took me out of the mansion.
She threw me into the snow, which had turned red due to the clay. It looked like a bloodbath.
She followed me around trying to attack me when she got a chance.
She was very powerful. She moved the furniture of the house around with a simple play of her fingers. I had no idea how to counter attack her. The only thing that I could do was help her escape this place. But she didn't want to.
I couldn't let her remain in this state any longer. She could already use her powers of telekinesis and teleportation. The longer a ghost remains on earth the more dangerous and violent it becomes.
Ghosts like Lucille are often bound to an object or a place, normally the building they died or lived, their movements are restricted, but this was not the case with her. Very powerful ghosts can move over larger distances, but unless they can move what they're bound to, they can never be totally free.
