chapter 1: Board the ship together

Mikenzie's POV

I wake up to a phone ringing underneath my pillow. I reach for it,and press answer not  looking who's calling me this early in the morning.

"Hello?" I say, sounding more like a question
"MIKENZIE ANNA LOPEZ, WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!?!?" Riely screams in the phone,making me pull away slightly.
"What do you mean riely?" I ask her putting my head down.
" WHAT DO I MEAN,WHAT DO YOU MEAN...WE WERE SUPPOSED TO MEET AT THE DOCKS SO WE CAN BOARD THE SHIP TOGETHER"Riely screams. My eyes goes wide and I jump off the bed. shit, shit,shit, shit
" Sorry Riel's I'll be there in 10, promise"I say hanging up, going straight to my closet for my clothes,then searching for my charger,then getting my keys,my bags, locking the doors and practically running to my car and start driving.

You must be wondering who I am,who is Riely, why am I rushing,where am I going. Well Hi, I am Mikenzie Lopez, im 22 years old,in College,I have 2 baby sisters,which means I'm the oldest.
Riely is my bestfriend,we've been besties since...FOREVER, yet we're quite different. She's the talkative one,the one who can always hold a conversation, I on the other hand can't, she's a social person and I'm anti-social, I like my head in books and she likes her head in parties, we're not so different when it comes to studying tho I HATE STUDYING...so yeah. Me and Riely are kind of adults now.
We're busy all the time,when I mean all the time I MEAN ALL THE TIME and we barely have time for each other. Now this is where and why I'm going to where I'm going, we're always busy so we decided to go on a trip on a ship,(wow tht rhymes) to spend more time together, we're going to be on the ship for like 2-3 weeks,I think 3 weeks tho. So there you go thats my story,not whole story tho...you know what I mean,Anyways now back to the present.

I arrive at the place,I look for a parking space an when I find it I park my car in the parking space. I put off the music thts been playing, I'll have to ask Dad to pic it up later. I get out, take out my bags then I lock my car door and practically run into the place in search of my bestfriend.

"Riely!" I yell as I see her standing at the place we were supposed to meet at. I run over to her and give her a bone crushing hug, making my bags fall to the floor.
"OMG I thought I was going to be stood up by my bestfriend" Riely says.
I pull back from her and give her a smile "I'd never do tht to you" I say, she laughs and then hits me on my head "OW" I say dramaticly. "You're late young lady!" She says with tht look in her perfect blue eyes that says 'youre in BIG trouble'.
"Sorry, I overslept" I complain to her.
As we head to the ship we hear the man who sails the ship say tht it's time to board the ship, And with that we run to board the ship together excited for the journey we're about to go on.
