chapter 2: This attic is magic

Mackenzie's POV

Once we boarded the ship, Riely needed to use the bathroom so she left me alone to venture in the ship ALONE. But you know what it doesn't matter, because watching the beautiful blue ocean and smelling the lovely sea is actually nice.

"Its beautiful isn't it" A husky male voice says from next me.

I turn, and I'm met with a handsome face, wait more than handsome... He has beautiful jet black hair, green grass eyes, his smile it's literally beautiful, I'd be lieing if I said I'd not go for him.

"Yes, it is" I say turning back to the water.
"I'm Caden, but my friends call me Cade" he says holding out his hand for me to take.
" Mikenzie" I say shaking his hand and smiling.
" Well Mikenzie,whats a beautiful lady as yourself doing standing here all alone?" Caden asks, with a smirk on his face. 'God,his face is just, WOW' I think to myself.
" My friend left me here so she could use the bathroom" I tell him.
" She couldve took me along, seriously" I say to myself in a whisper for him not to hear. But he had to here it didn't he.
" Well if you did go with your friend, I wouldn't have you, would I now" he says with the smirk still his face.

Just as I'm about to answer him, I'm cut off by my name being called from behind me, I turn around and my bestfriend is standing there.
"Excuse me" I tell Caden or Cade or whatever, with a smile ofcause.

I start walking towards my blond bestfriend.
"Who's the handsome boy you were talking to just now?" Riely asks me as I approach her.
"I don't know, he just started talking to me, which is weird because I'm a stranger" I say to her. But then she gives me the look which is 'seriosly'
"He was kind of flirting with me tho" I tell her as we start walking to our rooms.
Her face immediately lits up and that makes me smile a little.
"What did he say?" She asks me as we walk down the hallway.
"Uhmmm, he called me beautiful" I tell her.
"Thts all he said?" she asks as we approach our rooms (which are next to each other).
"Yep" I say popping the 'p'.
"Boys" we say at the same time, with a laugh afterwards.
Before we could reach to unlock our doors the ship suddenly tips to the side, making me hold on to the railing.
"What the heck was that!?" Riely asks.
"I don't know" I say, worry attached to my voice.
But before I could go check, im pulled in the opposite direction.
"What the hell" I say once I realized who is pulling us. Cade.
"You can't go that way... both of you" he says referring to me and Riely as we're still being pulled down so many stairs.
"Oh, you're the boy that was flirting with my bestfriend, I mean if you want her you could.."
Rielys cut off by screams from where we just came from, making me stop.
"What was that" I ask, turning to Cade, he's about to answer when he's cut off by more screams.
"They're coming" he says taking my hand again pulling me once again.
We arrive downstairs,Cade opens the door to a room,it would be an attic,but it's doesn't look like one. It has blue moonlight all around it,just like the blue ocean sea 'its beautiful' I think to myself.

"What is this place" Riely asks, beating me to it, but I almost don't give Cade a chance to respond.
"What did you mean they're coming" I ask turning to Cade.
"Whos coming, who's they, why were there screams, why couldn't we see what was happening,why did you bring us here,where are we,..." I ask practically ranting.
"CADE!" I say his name more scarier, even Riely stepped to the back.
"It's complicated" he says, making me even more angry, but before I can yell at him I'm interupted by an unfamiliar voice.
"You're here for a reason, Mikenzie,and so are you Riely"

I turn around and im met with a beautiful woman, she looks like she's old enough to be grandmother, but even so she's beautiful,long sunset red hair with beautiful red eyes which is glowing, she's wearing a beautiful red gown, which looks like it fit for a princess or even a queen on her.

I look towards Riely but her eyes are no longer blue,instead it yellow, and it's glowing.
I turn to Cade and his grass green eyes is glowing too.

I look in a nearby crystal, wait a crystal what the heck is crystals doing in here, but my brown eyes are not glowing.weird.
'ok now I feel left out' I think to myself.
Before I get to ask what going on I'm interupted AGAIN. 'I swear to God these ppl love interrupting me'

"Are you sure they're ready?" Cade asks the red eyed lady. Yes I just named her red eyed lady.
" Yes,they're old enough and we need their help for what's to come" says the red eyed lady.
" Help? What's to come? What are you talking about?" Riely asks them seriously.
'why is this day sooo weird' I think to myself.
" Okay can we talk about all of your glowing eyes real quick, because it's really cool but creepy at the same time" I say, making all their eyes shoot to me.
" My eyes are glowing?" Riely asks me,I nod my head to her, I point to the crystal I saw my reflection in. She stands infront of the crystal and her eyes go wide in shock.
" What the..." She says almost above a whisper.
She turns to us, "why are my eyes... Yellow and glowing? And your eyes..." She asks pointing to Cade and the red eyed lady.
"It's the attics doing" the red eyed lady says, seeing our confused faces she continues, "This attic is magic, therefore,whoever is made of magic the cave shows it threw our eyes." She says.
"So what, Rielys magic?" I ask her. She nods, "But you mackenzie..." She trails off making me think that what ever this lady says, what ever she's about to say, it's not gonna be good, no matter what she says.
"You mackenzie, you are much, much more than just Magic."
