*~Chapter Two~*
I finished cleaning the last dish, placing it on the drying rack and wiping my hands on a towel. As soon as my hands were completely dry, I tiptoed upstairs to check on my mother. I slowly pushed open the door, making it creek slowly. I peeked through the little crack of the doorway and I noticed she was sleeping.
A slight smile replaced my straight face. I quietly closed the door and walked to my room-- which was only down the hallway. I switched my light switch on and looked around my room. It was very different compared to my other rooms. This room is a lot bigger and has more open space.
I sighed a happy sigh and I casually strolled to my closet. It's pretty large-- I can fit almost anything in here. I slid the white wooden doors open and flicked on the light that hung at the top of the closet.
I pushed my clothes that were hung up on the wrack to the left, making the metal coat hangers screech as I do. I pulled out my wooden easel and a nicely folded blue tarp.
I unfolded it and laid it out onto my white carpet, it covered most of the area. I opened up the folded easel, making it stand on all four wooden legs in the middle of the tarp. I walked over to my drawer, opening up the top shelf and taking out my painting shirt. Which is the shirt I use when I paint so I don't ruin my other clothes.
I changed into it and threw my hair in a messy bun. I grabbed my paint palette and paint brushes from my desk drawer. I walked to the bathroom that is connected to my room and grabbed a Dixie Cup. I filled it with water and walked back to my room. I placed it on my desk.
I plugged earbuds into my iPhone and put my music on shuffle. The song UNI by Ed Sheeran replaced the silence of my room. I wetted the brush I wanted to use, then I routinely dipped the brush into the light blue paint and started making curved strokes on the large paper that is held by the easel.

I stepped back, pulling out my earbuds-- staring at the master piece I just created. I bit down on my bottom lip and tilted my head to the side, questioning the painting. A quick and delicate knock was placed on my door. "Come in." I said still staring at the artwork.
My mother walks in but doesn't completely enter the room. "I'm going to be heading to work in a few minutes." She warned me. I nodded, "Hey, can you give me your opinion on this?" I asked. I heard the soft clicking of high heels on my rug, then faint crunching of the tarp, until she came to a stop in front of my painting.
I stared at it again, trying to see if its good or not. "Luck, it's beautiful." I turned to my mother to see she was already smiling at me. I smiled back, pleased to see her smiling. "Thank you." She nodded. "Now I'm off to work," she walks towards me and plants a kiss on the top of my forehead, "I love you, sweetie." "Love you too mom." I said while smiling at her. She gives me a loving hug and shortly leaves the room.
I signed my name at the bottom right of the painting and kept it on the easel for it to dry. I changed out of my dirty clothes and into a comfy pair of pyjamas. I grabbed my iPhone and jumped into bed. Since my phone was on silent, I didn't realise I got a text from Brett.

Hey Luck!

Hello Brett!
From: Brett the Beast
Want to hang this weekend? My friend is having a house party and his parents won't be home.
My heart began to flutter. I've never been to a party before. Of course I've been to birthday parties or family parties but this will be different.
Would there be alcohol? Would there be drugs? Oh god! What if the cops come?!
I pushed all thoughts aside. I'm pretty known for being over dramatic. Nothing will happen! Besides Brett will be by my side the whole time! I slowly text him back saying yes and what time does it start?
From: Brett the Beast
It starts at 9 I'll pick you up around 8:30, okay?
To: Brett the Beast
Sure thing! But i'm going to bed. Good night Brett!
From: Brett the Beast
Goodnight beautiful.
I smiled at his last text, feeling my stomach warm up. I happily sighed and plugged in my phone in the charger and placed it on my nightstand. Once I did I reached over to my lamp and turned it off. Shortly after doing so, I let the darkness consume me and my dreams run freely.
