*~Chapter Seven~*
I woke up feeling nice and refreshed. With a quick stretch and a long obnoxious yawn, I picked up my phone and checked what the time was. I saw that it was 2:30 PM, leaving me to question myself if I want to do something productive today. The obvious answer was a no, but I got up anyways.
I made my way downstairs and into the kitchen. I walked through the doorway and found my mother leaning over the island, sipping on some coffee and reading the Sunday newspaper.
"Good morning!" I said cheerfully to my mother, skipping over to the refrigerator.
"Afternoon," she corrected without breaking eye contact with the newspaper, "Good afternoon to you too."
I rolled my eyes at her simple modification and grabbed a vanilla yogurt cup out of the fridge. I peeled off the aluminum lid at the top and grabbed a spoon out of the silverware drawer. I bumped it closed with my hip and walked over to a wooden stool that was on the other side of the island.
I took a spoonful of yogurt and shoved it in my mouth, savoring the taste. My mother placed the newspaper down onto the granite and took a lasting sip of coffee.
"You should explore around town, get used to it a bit more. It's pretty warm out, so today is a great day to do it."
She walked over to the sink, placing the coffee cup into it-- making a loud clanking noise.
"Yeah, I guess I should... do you have money I could borrow?" I asked, scraping out the rest of the yogurt at the bottom of the cup before licking it off the spoon.
She turned off the faucet and faced me with a questioning look, "What do you mean, borrow?"
"You know," I started while walking over to the sink to put the spoon in it, "you give me the money and i'll return the same amount back... it's quite a simple thing, Mom." I walked over to the trash can and threw out the empty yogurt cup.
"Well knowing you, you would never give back the money. You would spend it and just say that you will give the money back once you get a job. Speaking of job! When are you going to apply for one?"
She leaned against the granite counter, her arms crossed and a sly smirk on her face.
"Mother, I told you many many times that once I become a famous artist I would pay you back. I would also be able to pay off the mortgage for my mansion that is made out of various chocolate flavors and I would be able to give money to charity! But for now, i'm stuck in high school, as a tortured student. Begging and pleading for freedom..."
She sighed, "Fine, I guess I can give you money. Only a few dollars, I would like change back please."
I smiled victoriously, "Thanks!" She rolled her eyes and gave me a five dollar bill, "Be back by eight please. I don't want what happened last night to happen again."
She looked at me with mother-like eyes. I nodded and gave her a quick hug before running up the stairs and into my room.

I checked myself out in the mirror, looking from head to toe and then back up. I am sporting a shirt that has beautiful flowers scattered around it and tan colored shorts.
I decided to wear a red headband and red converse as the final touches.
The outfit really fit the season, Spring. And thank goodness I moved here at the very end of Winter, I've always hated the cold.
I kept my hair in their natural curly state, fixing a few curls here and there with a curling iron. Don't ask me why I have a curling iron even though I already have curly hair, it's a long story...
I shoved the five dollar bill into my back pocket and walked down the stairs.
I opened the door and the long awaiting warm air hits me. I closed my eyes, enjoying the heat. I closed the door behind me as I start my journey towards the town.
It was a quick walk, about 10 minutes. I don't live that far from all the stores and parks. The town is pretty small and everyone seems to know each other.
I walk down the sidewalk where many stores were lined up. The place seems pretty vacant, besides the fact of a few other people were casually strolling around.
I looked at the stores' signs, some caught my eye and most didn't. I then just realize how scorching it is outside.
Luckily, there was an ice cream parlor a couple stores back. I quickly turned around and smashed into someone.
It was a hard enough impact which caused me to fall flat onto my butt.
"Ouch." I mumbled under my breath.
"I am so sorry!" The boy said, sticking his hand out for me to grab.
Déjà vu...
I grabbed it and the boy pulled me up without any effort. Usually that would really impress me-- one, because I'm not the lightest person and two, it means he is pretty dang strong. But right now I'm just beyond pissed to even care.
For most girls they would act like he is Prince Charming saving them from some horrible disaster and that they would fall in love and live happily forever after. But in reality, it was just a kind gesture.
I brushed myself off angrily, "you should really watch where you're goi--"
I stopped mid sentence as I look at him. This boy looks familiar...
I squinted my eyes and leaned my face towards him to get a better look. I pulled back in shock.
"Austin?" I asked barely above a whisper.
He laughed, "Hi Luck, long time no see!"
