A couple months went by. I had to be smart about my next couple of moves. I was on a mission to eliminate this Derrick nigga. He had to go. It wasn't because he was fucking with my baby mama but because he was plotting to destroy me and I couldn't let that shit slide. Since the crew knew what was going on now, we changed the operation. The warehouse would still be in tact but everything was moved. We had a plan. It was all about the timing.
I began to play the role with my baby mama too. All it took was for me to give her attention and she started spilling everything from that nigga's  first and last name all the way to what side of town he "lived" on. I had her thinking I wanted my family back. I fucked her from time to time too. I only did it because I knew that would pull her deeper in. She was even letting me get my daughter more often. That was the best thing because Alanah was my weakness. I'll go to war over my baby girl. Her mama was just the downfall of it all. I had love for her because she was the mother of my child. She just had some crazy ways. The crazy thing is, I knew she was still fucking that nigga Derrick and was probably still talking to them other niggas too. I didn't care though. It was strictly business in my mind. She probably thought she was winning but little did she know, her ass was in for a rude awakening real soon.
On the other hand, I had been kicking it with Kira too. We were friends but I was really starting to feel shawty. She was different. I found out she was graduating soon, she worked, and she did hair. She wasn't wild. She was real chill. It was like she was so focused on everything she had going on that she shut everything else out. I made my way in though. I was about to pull up to her spot now. We were going to get something to eat and then watch movies at her crib. I called her phone to let her know I was outside. "Hello?" I heard her say through the phone. "I'm outside ma. Come on. I'm hungry as hell." She blew out a breathe before saying, "I'm coming. You always trying to rush me. Give me one second." A couple minutes later I seen her coming down the stairs. Her hair was pulled back in a slick ponytail showing off her diamond studded earrings. She had on ripped jeans, a graphic tee, and some all white Nike forces. She wore a gold K initialed necklace with a gold watch. Kira rarely wore make up unless she was going out. All she had on was mink extensions and lipgloss. That was all she needed though. She was naturally pretty.
She got in the car smelling good and looking even better. "Heyyy bestie," she said before giving me a hug. I laughed. "Wassup with it? What you trying to eat?" She shrugged her shoulders. "You always want me to decide. It's your turn this time," she said before putting on her seatbelt and getting comfortable. I pulled off and hit the highway. "You say I always want you to decide but you never even know what you want to eat. Your ass don't like nothing but chicken wings," I said. I looked over to see her mugging me. I bust out laughing. "Whatever, Donte. Let's go get some seafood then." She always called me by my first name. It's crazy because I didn't  let anybody but my mama call me that shit. I looked at her and shook my head. We pulled into Juicy Crab about 25 minutes later and went in to get a seat.

Riah's POV

"Girl, I think I want some lobster," I told my friend Diamond. "Ohh girl that does sound good!! I'm probably about to get some of everything though. I can't even lie," Diamond responded. We both began to laugh. Me and Diamond had been friends for years. We both worked at the strip club Blue Flame. She worked as a bartender but I was an actual stripper. I kept it on the low for the most part. I wanted to stop though. I had a baby girl and that wasn't the example I wanted to set. It paid the bills. As long as it did that , I would keep going until I could find something else. "Wassup with you? You been smiling a lot lately," Diamond said giving me a curious face. "I'm not even gone lie to you. Shootah and I have been working on things. I think I'm on the way to getting my family back." Diamond gave me the side eye. "What about Derrick?" I begin to laugh. "Oh, I'm still fucking with him too. You can't put all your eggs in one basket right?" I winked at her. She laughed and shook her head.
You can only imagine the irony when I looked up to see Shootah sitting on the other side of the restaurant with the bitch I seen him with at the Spot a couple months ago. The smile quickly disappeared from my face. "Oh HELL NO!" Diamond looked up startled. "Bitch, what is it????" She looked in the direction I was looking in. "Uh oh, here we go." I got up and headed their way before she could even talk me out of it. I walked right up to his table. "Shootah, what is this? Why the fuck are you here and with her?" The girl looked at me and then at Shootah. "Riah, don't start this shit. Me and her are friends. I don't have to answer to you anyway. Take your ass back over there."
"Oh you don't have to answer to me huh?? Just the other day, you was talking about how you want your family back. You damn sure don't have this same energy when you're staying at my house fucking me." I smirked at the hurt I could clearly see on the girls'  face. She got up from the table and headed for the door. "Kira, wait," Shootah said reaching for her arm but she kept walking. He blew out air in frustration. Shootah took a deep breathe and looked up at me. His eyes were blood shot red. I could tell he was pissed. He didn't say anything. He just grabbed his keys and walked away. This is exactly what I meant when I said not to put all your eggs in one basket.

Kira's POV

Shootah and I were at Juicy Crab eating when a woman walked up to the table. "Shootah, what is this and why the fuck are you here with her?" I heard her say. She looked so familiar until it dawned on me. This was the same girl from bathroom in the Spot. I'm assuming it was his baby mama because I heard her say something about him wanting his family back. I then heard her say something about them fucking. That was enough for me to get up and leave. He called my name and tried to stop me but I kept walking. For some reason, my feelings were hurt. I dialed Bri's number and wiped the tears from my eyes. "Hello? Bri where are you? Can you please come get me?" I said through the phone. "I'm about to leave Jay's house. Wassup, you okay?" I began walking towards the Starbucks down the street. "No, but I'll talk to you about it later. Please come get me. I'm over here by the Juicy Crabs we go to all the time but I'm about to walk down the street to Starbucks." She told me she was on the way and would be there in 10 minutes.

This is exactly why I don't get close to niggas. Even though Shootah wasn't my man, I had grew attached to him. I knew we were just friends but the feelings were there. The thought of getting close to a man scared me anyway. I had been through so much shit. I thought maybe just being friends would avoid all of this. Besides, he made it seem like there was nothing there between them. I should have known better though. I should have just stuck to getting my money and handling my business. The money couldn't hurt you or break your heart. I shook my head as I made my way into Starbucks.
