It was only the middle of November and yet temperatures had already dropped below zero. You were driving back to the academy after having been out the whole afternoon to run some errands. Your thick coat was not doing much to protect you from the icy winds and the snowflakes which were falling from the dark sky. It was only after 5pm and yet the world had already put it's nightdress on.

When you finally pulled into the driveway of the academy you couldn't help but notice how pretty it looked dressed completely in white, the path to the large front door illuminated by a few candles someone must have put up this afternoon.

You were just about to enter the academy when the door swung open, revealing a stressed looking Zoe on her way out. "She is going crazy. We are all heading out to dinner. Do you want to join us?", she rushed passed you followed by a few other girls, not even waiting for your response. "Who is going crazy?", you were confused.

"Cordelia! She has been running around all day putting up christmas decorations, driving everyone insane.", she jumped into the car, "are you coming or not?"

"I think I'll just stay here, I am freezing.", you could not help but smile to yourself. If all the girls were going out tonight it would mean you got Cordelia to yourself for the whole night, making your heart flutter with excitement, "Thank you though." You waved them goodbye before entering the house.

What you saw took your breath away. The whole entryway was decorated beautifully. Snowflakes hanging from the ceiling, fairy lights twinkling on the windows, illuminating the room in a soft, warm glow. On either side of the staircase a Christmas tree was standing tall, decorated with pastel pink covered christmas ornaments, snowflakes and bows. You made your way to the spacious living room where another tree had been placed close to the fireplace. Everywhere you looked you saw twinkling lights, bowls with cookies and candies, blankets and other christmas decorations. Stockings with all the girls' names were hanging on the fireplace in which flames were dancing together.

And then the most beautiful woman you had ever put your eyes on entered the room. Cordelia was dressed in her christmas pajamas and fuzzy socks, her hair hung loosely from her shoulders and she had her reading glasses perched on top of her golden locks. Her cheeks were flushed from running around all day and she was carrying a big box which probably had even more decorations in it.

"Looks like you have been busy.", you let out a laugh, your eyes meeting hers. Cordelia gave you the biggest smile, her teeth showing, her eyes sparkling. She basically ran over to you, jumping into your arms and inhaling your scent, "I just missed you and tried to stay busy.", she smirked, giving you a quick peck on the lips.

"You don't have to pretend you only did this because I was out! I know how much you love christmas.", you hugged her, kissing her cheek. You loved her, loved how she always got so excited for christmas, how she did everything to make the academy look magical and how she didn't even use magic for it because she preferred to do it all herself.

"You are right.", she gave you a smile, averting her gaze, "Do you like it?" You hugged her even tighter before you told her how much you loved it.

"I will let you finish and go change. Do you want to watch a christmas movie? I mean, since you frightened away the other girls we have the house for us.", you were already walking up the stairs, not even bothering to wait for her reply since you knew she would happily watch any movie with you.

After you were showered you went through your closet but couldn't find anything that seemed appealing so you went to Cordelia's. Whenever you wanted to feel especially comfortable (or you desperately missed the Supreme) you would pick through her large collection of sweaters and wore one of them. You smiled when you remembered how she found out about it a few weeks ago.

*"Honey?! Have you seen my green sweater? I am sure I put it away yesterday but I can't find it." You looked down on yourself and realized that you were wearing the sweater she was looking for. "I swear, if I ever catch one of the girls going through my stuff I will give them a lecture on respecting -", you were just trying to take off her sweater to hide it but it had gotten stuck on your necklace, leaving you stuck. You didn't see her coming out of the closet, standing in front of you with her arms crossed. "There's the sweater thief!"*

*You stopped moving when you realized she had caught you. You couldn't see her so you weren't really sure if she was mad or amused. When you felt her hands on you, freeing you from her sweater and you finally could see her face, you were relieved to see her smiling brightly at you. *

*"You could have just told me, honey.", her lips met yours in a gentle kiss, pulling you close to her so she could encircle you in a loving embrace.*

You had picked a soft, woolen, grey sweater. It had been laying on the chair next to the bed. When you had put it on you were enveloped by Cordelia's scent, making you feel warm and at home.

You went down the stairs and found the blonde witch sitting on the couch, a blanket draped over her. She had put on her reading glasses and was already browsing the movie selection.

"How about this one?", she turned around and smiled when she saw you, "I see you found another sweater of mine to steal."

"Yours are just so much nicer... and they smell like you.", you blushed and looked away.

"Come here now.", she laughed and patted the space next to her, lifting up the blanket so you could join her underneath it.

Once you were settled you took a long look at Cordelia. She was already immersed into the movie but you couldn't help but only have eyes for her. She was beautiful. Magical. Illuminated by the fairy lights, the candles and the moonlight coming in from outside she looked ethereal. Sometimes you couldn't believe she had picked you out of all people. Picked you as the one person she chose to spend her life with.

You hadn't noticed when she had turned away from the TV, her eyes landing on you. She gave you a tender smile and scooted closer. You loved this side of her - the one which could never be close enough, could never not touch you, could never focus on anything besides you for too long.

You opened up your arms and she happily laid down on you, her head resting on your chest so she could listen to your heartbeat. You hugged her tightly, placing a kiss on top of her head. "I love you.", you whispered and continued to watch the movie, the love of your life encircled in your embrace.
