She was a magical creature, having found Wilhemina in the darkest days. During nightfall, when the world had long put its curtain over the whole entity, she had been the light she had been seeking desperately. The days leading up to your fortunate meeting had left her hopeless, fragile and broken - she had been the one to pull Mina out from the abyss, had prevented her soul from spiraling downwards.
She had been sitting on a bench in the park, watching as the wind blew the leaves from the trees. Wilhemina had noticed her immediately. How could she not?
She looked beautiful, angelic. Her blonde hair had been slightly curled, cascading down her shoulders. Brown eyes with thick, dark lashes were focused on the words on the pages of the book she was reading. Her lips were slightly opened, revealing her pearly white teeth. Occasionally, she bit her lower lip, a small smile gracing her face.
She was dressed in a black, thick sweater with small pearls on it. Around her hips sat a simple skirt, her legs protected by tights from the cold, her feet covered with boots.
Wilhemina walked to the nearest coffee shop and bought two cups before she made her way back to the park. She was never one to talk to strangers, her anxiety and self hatred usually preventing her from doing so. But she was different. Mina felt herself being pulled towards her, like she had cast a spell over her which prevented her from simply walking away.
A breath she had not realized she had been holding escaped her lungs. She was still there. Still engrossed in her book. Still magical.
"I have been waiting for you.", she said without looking up from the pages in front of her. "I don't know why, but something made me come here and wait. For you."
She was confused by her words. She had been waiting for her? Why?
"I do not understand it either.", she looked up from her book, her eyes meeting Wilhelmina's and she felt like the blonde could look deep into her soul. The invisible pull she had felt when she had first seen her grew even more. She gave her a smile. "I'm Cordelia."
She held out the cup of coffee to her which she took out of her hands with a gentle smile. "I am Wilhemina. Why have you been waiting for me? I don't think we have met before.", as she pointed to the spot next to her Wilhemina sat down, sipping on her coffee which instantly burned her tongue, leaving it numb and tingling.
"I just knew that I should come here and wait. Like a strange intuition.", she gave her a toothy smile and Mina's heart fluttered in her chest. It was like she had been in a deep slumber all this time and her body finally came back to life. She felt the blood pumping through her veins, every sense ignited, every feeling magnified.
Wilhemina was confused. Deeply confused. She felt stupid, foolish, for having let go of control. Instead of being careful and wary of everyone around her, she had embraced the feeling of being pulled into Cordelia's orbit, had let herself be guided by her emotions instead of logical thinking. Her insecurities came back with a vengeance and replaced the feeling of content she had experienced only minutes ago.
"Stop. Don't think about it too much. It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you.", the angelic voice of Cordelia pierced through her ears, stopping the dark spiral her thoughts had tried to capture her in.
"How do you know what I am thinking?", Wilhemina inquired and put some space between herself and Cordelia without noticing.
"I am a witch.", she looked at Wilhemina, waiting for her reaction. She just nodded, averting her gaze and focused on the ground in front of her. "I think I've seen you on TV. I thought it was silly. A hoax.", she absentmindedly let her fingers encircle the head of her cane a little tighter, trying to ground herself.
