The rest of the day was fairly uneventful for Shoyou. He'd served some more customers, been talked to by kinoshita, told a lady to fuck off because she had an issue with the way he dressed, and made a new drink that might be on the menu tommorow if the boss liked it.
So meh.
Clocking out at normal time, he waved goodbye to his co-workers, unaware of the conversation being had miles away
.*.*.*.
Ukai deadpanned.
"You're telling me, you want to risk our resorces for some kid you just met?"
Kita winced at the way he worded that. He knew this wouldn't be a great idea to ask. But the other three that'd been there at the cafe agreed that it be better if he asked than any of them.
"Not exactly, sir. I am very well aware of the risks, but there has to be some way to get around that, yes?"
Ukai pinched the bridge of his nose. This is the downside to having kids -Fully functional twenty to twenty five year old adults- as your team.
He sighed in exasperastion. "I'll talk it over with takeda." He dissmissed him with a wave of his hand.
Ukai dragged a hand down his face as Kita left.
"These kids'll be the death of me." By the way, Ukai is like thirty five.
But he's been with some of them since they were young, so they'll kind of always be kids in his eyes.
Sighing heavily, he did actually get up to do what he said he would, walking across the room to a conviently located door.
"Hey, Take-" "AH WHAT- " Takeda screamed, but he noticed who it was, "Oh, hello ukai,"
Ukai was slightly amused by the reaction, but continued, leanining on the door frame, "Kita came in. He had an interesting request." Takeda turned away from the computer he was typing at, "Kita? That's different,"
Ukai nodded. "Yeah, I thought so too. Apparently, he was so dazzled by this person he suna and the twins met today, they want him here. Permanently."
Takeda's eyes widened, "Permanently? My, that's drastic. Left that much of an impression huh?"
Ukai sighed. He seems to do a lot of sighing lately. "That's the thing that gets me. Acording to him, the kid didn't even do much. They find him 'interesting'."
"Must be quite interesting then.." Takeda mumbled. "So, whadya think?" Ukai asked, watching Takeda think it over, somewhat aloud. He was a bit surprised when he looked up at him with a small smile. "It's not a bad idea."
Ukai balked.
"What-"
Takeda continued, "We'll need more information on them before, but it could be nice. They'll have a new person, it'll keep those four happy, And hey!" Takeda grinned somewhat sadistically, "Entertainment."
Ukai blinked. "You can't be serious."
Takeda laughed a little and pushed up his glasses up. "I am, very much so. Send some people to check them, out, get more information. Not those four for a couple days. If all goes well, we'll have 'em by the end of the week."
"Send Ushijima, Tendou, Iwaizumi and Akaashi tommorow. Maybe Oikawa? Nah, nevermind, just them. They'll be helpful."
Ukai face-palmed. They were really doing this huh. He strolled over to the man a gave him a peck on the head. "I worry about you sometimes." And he left, back to his own desk.
He called kita back into the room.
"Sir?"
Ukai looked at him tiredly. "We're thinking its a go." Kita visibly brightened, "Really?"
"Yes, we're sending four to go get information tommorow. Before you ask, you are not one of them."
Kita took a step forward, "But-" "It's been decided who's taking this. You're dissmissed."
Kita nodded and left, torn between being glad, and somewhat disapointed.
Ukai thought that this whole situation was ridiculous.
"Can't believe we're doing this."
.*.*.
"Alright, so good news and okay news." Kita spoke to Suna and the twins, how gathered in a room kin to a living room, as well as a couple of nosy people who wanted to know what was going. "Good news, he said that we're gonna get him." Atsumu cheered, loudly.
Hinata really shouldn't have given him that espresso.
"And okay news?" Suna asked, leaning back in the chair and watchin Osamu berate Atsumu for being too loud.
"We won't see him for a while."
Atsumu stopped cheering, running over to kita and shaking him. "What? whadya mean not see 'im? How long is a while? How's that only okay? That's kinda real bad ya know. Whoo, That Coffee was good!"
Kita smiled sharply. "Someone grab him before I hurt him."
Atsumu let go quickly. "Sorry 'bout that."
Tendou whistled from the counter. "He must be real something huh~" He cackled.
"Um yes." Atsumu said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Which it was.
Suna showed whatever he was looking at to tendou.
"That's him."
Atsumu's jaw dropped. "You got a picture?! I thought you said you didn't!" Suna looked at him boredly. "I didn't, but then I did. Is there an issue?"
Atsumu blinked. But ran over, "What?! Lemme see!"
Kinata sighed loudly. Atsumu was never getting espresso again.
"Pretty, ain't he? An' he's not like some delicate pansy either, he's real defiant. So cool." Osamu frowned. "Ya can't be defiant when theres nothing to defy you idiot."
"Oh hush samu, you know what I mean."
Tendou's jumped a bit, and checked his phone. "Hm~? oho, looks like i'll be meeting the adorable maid hehe~"
Four eyes snapped to look at him. ". . . He's sending...you?" Kita deadpanned.
"Mhm~ Seems my talents are well needed,' He licked his lips and headed off to get details from Ukai.
"Hey, how's it going- Wow. Why do you look like you're going to kill someone?" Nishinoya strolled in with Tanaka in tow.
"Ukai is sending tendou to steal our angel away from us."
