Chapter 26

 Reese's pov-

I perked up when I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. I've been in here for hours, waiting for Seven to come back. His father already came to see me and told me my fate. Someone planted a knife in my room and somehow got my fingerprints on it. I could hear someone walking towards me but it was too dark to see their face. At first I thought it was Seven but the footsteps were too light to be him.

" Hello, Sin." a light flicked on and a lamp illuminated the face of my visitor.

" Holy shit, it was you." I gaped, how did I not know. It's so obvious. " You're not as smart as I thought you were. Took you an awfully long time to figure out it was me, wish I could say the same for Seven.". Seven knows? I pray to god he'll be able to get people to believe him without evidence. Maybe he does have evidence but I doubt it. " I swear to god if you touch him I'll gut you." I threatened.

" You won't be able to do shit. You're not getting out of here." he spat, a condescending smirk on his face. " Did you do all of this just so you could keep your job?" I asked incredulously. It seems a bit over the top to try and kill three students just for a job. I should've known. Piper probably told him about the photo I had. He was afraid I'd expose his secret and he'd be fired. He also couldn't risk Piper telling anyone so he killed her, she was a liability.

" It's not just about the job. My reputation would be ruined!" he exclaimed. I can see that he gets fired from a prestigious academy for sleeping with a student. I'm not sure that he'd be able to get hired anywhere else. I saw something flash out of the corner of my eye. I looked over and saw Seven holding his phone up. God, I love this man.

" Did you think you could just sleep with a student and nothing would happen?" I asked incredulously. I'm not even sure if they slept together but I think it'd be a fair bet. I doubt he was willing to pass her in his class with an A with only getting some light petting in return. " No one was supposed to find out about Piper and I. But then you had to act like a nosy little bitch and film us." he sneered.

" You didn't have to kill her over it. She wouldn't have told anyone, it would've messed with her life too. She wanted the secret kept just as much as you did." I reasoned but it didn't seem to get through to him. " She wanted to keep it a secret because she's a cheating whore! She said she loved me, only for me to find our she was fucking two, not one but two people behind my back!" he shouted angrily.

I laughed in his face, " You actually thought she loved you?" I laughed in his face, enraging him further. He grabbed the metal bars, " She was a liar and she got what she deserved and soon, so will you. You're a murder. You killed an innocent child. I did some digging into your life and was able to uncover your dirty little secret." he gloated.

I was furious. I wanted jump on him and strangle him to death and I would've if I wasn't locked in this stupid cell. But I need to keep a clear head and remember he's going to get what's coming to him. " You really think you'll get away with killing Piper?" I asked incredulously, trying to get a clear confession.

This time he laughed in my face, " I already did get away with killing her. Those idiots think you did it. I even planted the knife I used in your dorm. Once you're gone I'll deal with your little boyfriend. And I already took care of Piper's girlfriend, pushed the little whore down the stairs." I love how he's bragging about this shit. What a dumbass, he's literally setting himself up.

I just hope Seven was able to get all of that. Kart's little visit was interrupted when the guard's footsteps echoed throughout the cells. " I'll see you tomorrow for your execution." he smirked at me before taking off into the dark hallway. The guard walked to my cell and slid a tray of food under the door. Then left without saying a word. I looked to see what he gave me. Of course he gave me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Not like I was going to eat the food anyway though.
