Recap

Last chapter was Lucy's heart wrenchingly yet beautiful "see you later" to Warrod.

However, it was also her realization of just how much Natsu means to her, and what he is to her.
He is her light.

This makes perfect sense for this duo because lucy deals with astrology/stars, and Natsu is a fire dragon slayer. The two are different but similar.

Like the moon and the sun in a way. The moon only glows when the sun is behind it.

Okay okay, enough rambling, let's get on to the story!

Natsu's POV

Lucy has become very... I don't want to say the word clingy because I don't think she's clingy at all, I love having her near me.
If I could I would have her near me all the time.

Affectionate. That's the word.
Don't get me wrong lucy is a very affectionate person, but over the course of the past few weeks she has been more affectionate than usual.

Not that I'm complaining by any means, It's just It's hard to be so happy around her when I know she just practically lost her last family member. Even though we all consider her family, or at least I do, and I'm sure Levy does too.

She hasn't mentioned Warrod being gone since the funeral, and she seems almost back to normal. It's nice, but concerning. I hope she knows she can talk to me if she's struggling...

Tomorrow is the day that our project is due after all...

Wow I can't believe it's been that long.

As I'm thinking about all the months that have passed working on our project and developing a relationship, Lucy walks into through my front door.

"Hey dumby, I brought your favorite! Buffalo wings from bdubs." Her voice blesses my ears and my stomach knots, yet not in a bad way at all. It's so hard to describe. Maybe it's because I'm hungry and she just told me she brought my favorite food over.

I get up and follow behind her, watching as her long hair shifts as it sways back and forth following the movement of her hips.

"God she is an Angel..."

Not being able to contain myself any longer, I spin Lucy around to face me, smirk at her taken back expression, then press my lips against her as hard as I could without hurting her.
I wanted her to feel how much I'm drawn to her, how much I love her, how much this project we fortunately for paired up for, means to me.

"What was that for Natsu?" She says with a big smile.

"I knew she'd feel how I felt through that kiss. Her smile says it all."

"Just wanted to show you how much I missed you." I shrugged and proceeded to make my way down from her lips, to her neck and collarbone.
