WHAT IS THAT?!

"That was awesome man! Did you see how I did that chant? Let him out. Let him out." Toby bragged before letting out a light laugh. We were now biking home from school and Toby was falling behind per usual "I mean Jim probably wont't live past Friday but it was awesome." he added. A honk of a car caught all of our attention "Well it's good your mom's a doctor." I recalled as we spotted Dr. Lake's car driving towards us.

Jim started saying before his mom held up a paper bag similar to the one he gave me and Toby this morning "Dinner, thank you" she finished "Right and try to find an oven to reheat it instead of nuking. It takes all the flavor and nutrients." Jim told his mother, I then saw him pull out a paper about to give it to Barbara but then stuffed it back in his pocket 'Wonder what that was-' "Jim, there must be a million things you's rather be doing then looking after me." Barbara insisted  "Can't think of one." Jim said shrugging "Love you, honey." she said before closing her window and driving away as Jim said his farewell "You mother your mother a lot." Toby said as me and Jim let out a chuckle "See you guys tomorrow." I said as I started biking to my house "Hey by the way Jim, don't use mayo on the sandwich, It's the wrong note." Toby commented as he headed over to his house. I bike over to see no one's home yet "y/n?" I turn around to see Jim standing next to his already parked bike (Just to clarify your house is in between Toby and Jim's) "Yea?" I replied. Jim then sets his bag down and turns on the tv, he sat on the arm of the couch while I sat in the corner of the couch, I see him start to pull out the amulet from earlier so I did the same. "I am gun Robot. Pick up your phone-" Jim's phone starts to ring before he picks it up as I examined my amulet "Hey Tobes." I looked up to the familiar name, Jim then put him on speaker and set the phone on the couch so we can both hear "Did it talk again? Did it do anything interesting?" Toby asked "Nope." I answered. "Oh hi y/n!" Toby greeted before a lady could be heard in the background "Toby pie! Dinner!" "In a minute Nana! I've got to go text me if they do anything cool." Toby added before hanging up. Jim then started to change the channel while I watched not paying attention to the brightly glowing amulet in my hand 'wait- glowing?!' I asked myself as I looked down at it "Um... Hi. How you doing? I'm Jim. But then, you knew that because you spoke my name which is...weird." Jim greeted the inanimate object, I looked up to see his was glowing too I then looked back down at mine "Hello, someone there?" I asked mine fidgeting with the hand clock looking thing "And now.
