I was currently walking with Claire to gym "Sorry again about the play." Claire apologizes referring to how she was was changed from co-director to Juliet's understudy. "Claire, for the millionth time its ok. I should be sorry you have to deal with Steve as Romeo." I say glancing to her. Claire chuckles "Yea its a nightmare... You and Jim are such a great pair for this." She says before continuing "I may have a feeling you two have something going on if you know what I mean." Claire says nudging me with her shoulder.
I laugh "Claire we are just friends. Besides he likes someone else." I say looking towards the 'someone else'. "Really? Thats shocking.. do you see the way he looks at you? He's mesmerized!" she exclaims a light blush appearing on my face as I remember all the times ive seen him blush while looking at me and brushing it off that I was just seeing things. "Whaaat? Nah Jim and I are great friends. I help him, he helps me. The day he has feelings on me is the day shapeshifters exist." I say as we laugh (I had too)
"Whatever you say y/n. Im still mad at him though, he left you hanging at rehearsals like a bajillion times." Claire says as the gym doors come in sight. "And he apologized like a bajillion times." I push the door open looking to Claire "Jim would never do anything to hurt m-"
SMACK
I fall back as my head gets smacked by a dodge ball hitting me right in the lip 'ouch...' everything goes blurry for a minute before back to normal as I see Coach, Steve, Toby, and Jim with concerned looks, especially Jim. "Heady shot! Walk it off l/n" Coach says before walking away.
time skip
After a visit to the nurses office and a million apologies from Jim I was filled in that Toby's chubby tracker could tell us where the goblin's hide out was. We were now zooming through the streets on our bikes. "Shouldn't we be telling Blinky and Argh?" Toby asked as me and him follow Jim as he leads the way with the phone with the location of the goblin's den. "By the time we get down to Trollmarket, the chubby tracker battery could be dead then we'll never find the goblin den." Jim answers (a/n: couldnt they just take a screenshot?😭 ive always wondered that)
"Besides, we're just gonna scope it out and then report back. Easy." He adds as we arrive at the museum "Hey, look! Look over there. The museum." Toby states pointing to the roof of the museum where goblins could be seen crawling inside. "We should have known." Toby says "How would we have know-" I start to say before Toby pushed me and Jim behind a bush "Get down!" he exclaimed. We peaked above the bush to see the museum lady from earlier walking into the museum aka to her doom. "It's the museum lady." Jim voiced my thoughts. "She has no idea what shes walking into.." I mumble watching the purple dressed lady disappear inside. We then crouch back down into the bush "At any moment, they could strike! Or worse... lay eggs in her ear." Toby shutters covering his ears, I roll my eyes "I don't think goblins do that." Jim says as I nod in agreement "Back on topic, we have got to get her out of there asap." I say "Good idea, but cover your ears guys." Toby agrees, we then all started running to the door.
