present day

I stood over the table in the cafeteria with Cheong-san and On-Jo beside me, we were just having a nice day eating in our recess hour when a bunch of students began jumping onto our friends and biting onto their skin like a cannibal.

"What the fuck is going on!" I scream, horrified to see the scene in front of me while Cheong-san grips onto both mine and On-Jo wrist before we run out of the cafeteria dodging every person or person that looks like a cannibal trying to grab onto us.

"They FUCKING CRAZY!"

BEFORE THAT EVENT

NARRATOR POV
On-Jo, I-Sak and Hye-Yoon approached Cheong-san and Gyeong-su. Hye-Yoon follows close behind as she watches On-Jo bumped into the male, her headphone over her head while music plays as she stares quietly at the scene in front of her.

"You coming, Hye-Yoon?" I-Sak asks her, causing the female to tilt her head to the side, "Where exactly?" She asks after taking off her headphones.

"To Cheong-san restaurant, his mom has a new recipe and we can be the first to taste it!" She replied with sparkling eyes.

The female smiled and nodded her head, after all she didn't have anything important to do after school and her parents would likely be away for another business trip, "Sounds great."

The group of friends reached Cheong-san family chicken restaurant and before Hye-Yoon could step inside the restaurant, her phone rang causing her friends to stop walking and turn to face her, "You guys go ahead, I'll join soon."

Hye-Yoon answers her phone as soon as her friends get inside the restaurant and let themselves sit, turning her back from her friends she puts her phone over her ear.

"Hello, Su-Hyeok. What's wrong?" She asked as soon as she answered her phone.

What her friends didn't know was, Su-Hyeok and her had been in a relationship for some quiet time behind their classmates; and the only person who knew was Nam-ra since she caught the couple alone behind the school building.

"Where are you? Why aren't you home? Should I get you since it's already late?" He says after she greets him, she let out a soft giggles and shook her head.

"No, it's alright. I am with Cheong-san and On-Jo at his family restaurant. You know" She replied with a smile across her face, standing outside of the restaurant while going back and forth.

The couple talked for a few more minutes before they ended their call and she joined the rest, "It's salty." On-Jo says towards Cheong-san's mother.

"What Salty?" Hye-Yoon asks once she reaches the table, Cheong-san's mother smiles at the sight of the young heiress before handing her a plate of chicken.

"Try it first, Hye-Yoon ah. I wanna know how it tastes to you." Cheong-san's mother asked her.

Hye-Yoon nodded her head and took a seat in between Cheong-san and On-Jo before taking a bite on the chicken, chewing nicely before gulping the chicken, she let out a sigh of relief.

"Oh, it's a bit salty but really good since it's soft inside." She acknowledged his mom, Cheong-san's mother, looked at both Hye-Yoon and On-Jo before turning to her husband.

"Honey! They said it Salty." His mom scolds her husband, leaving the teens by themselves to eat the rest of the chicken.

"Stop eating if it's salty." Cheong-san told both of his friends while pouring two glasses of Coke for them.

Hye-Yoon smiles and nods her head in thanks before drinking while On-Jo keeps on talking.

"Do you guys hear about our science teacher?" I-Sak started, stopping them from eating.

"What about him?" Cheong-san asked.

"Well, he smells like a rotting corpse." I-sak stated.

Hye-Yoon tilted her head and listened quietly, well that is true; she has passed the teacher a lot of times but after the disappearance of his son, he seems weird and suspicious.

"Oh, Na-Yeon spread that rumor, right?" Cheong-san started.

Ah, Lee Na-Yeon, wealthy student but selfish; Na-Yeon tries befriending her but Hye-Yoon feels like they do not match even though they both are from a rich family but not as rich as her family.

"It's true," On-Jo defended her friends.

"He was absent after his son went missing," She pointed out and paused before turning her gaze to Gyeong-su, "But then he came into class..." She says.

"She said he smelled like a corpse," On-Jo started, "How does she know what a corpse smells like?" Cheong-san asks, causing Hye-Yoon to nod her head in agreement.

"Has she smelled a corpse before?" He added while confused.

"I swear she knows every other smell except that one." On-Jo stated, looking straight at Cheong-san.

"Yeah, except Hye-Yoon smells." He says, looking at the female beside him.
