My Five Heroes (One direction fanfic)

Chapter 32: War.

After the commotion I caused, Luke decided to keep it light for the rest of the day and just do whatever we wanted.

Right now we were sitting down in a circle in the middle of the living room playing a "friendly" game of Uno.

"You can't do that Angela! You're suppose to put only one card so take it back!" Michael threw the card back to me and I laughed.

"Michael, you can do that!" I retord back and put the card back on the pile of cards.

"Not in my world," he grabbed my card and once again threw it back. I shook my head and smiled.

After 2 hours of just talking & doing stuff with them I got less nervous and more comfortable with them, they're really cool and funny dudes.

Oh, also after an offensive conversation with Calum I found out that he isn't in fact Asian, he's kiwi.

"Luke, its your turn!" I nudge him in the rib with my elbow, he grinned and set a card down.

"Uno!" He yelled excitingly, everyone including me glared at him.

He smirked and flipped his non existing hair.

I rolled my eyes as Ashton put the plus four card, Calum groaned and murmured a "fuck you" to Ashton before grabbing four cards from the deck.

"Sucks to be you, doesn't it?" Ashton smirked and ruffled Calum's hair.

"It'll suck to be you if you don't leave me alone," he warned Ashton with a evil glare.

I giggled, "Someone is pissy."

He rolled his eyes and put his card down, Michael took a big gulp of his "Special juice" which by the way is just cranberry juice mixed with tequila and a couple of ice cubes. He put his last card down and said "I win."

Everybody groaned and were about to throw their cards in front of them when I remember something.

"No you didn't," I smirked.

"Yes I did," he replied.

"No you didn't you stupid, you didn't say Uno which means you have to get 2 more cards!" I give him a smug look.

"Fuck!" He tugs his hair and angrily grabs two cards.

I laugh and set down my card, "Uno!"

Everyone rolls their eyes and Luke goes again. This keeps going until surprisingly Michael wins.

"Ha, you little shits are no match for the king!" He exclaims.

"What king? I only see a fool in poorly dyed hair." I sass back.

"Oh shit." Calum burst out laughing.

"Shots fire," Ashton makes gun shapes with his hand and joins Calum.

Luke just nods his head from left to right in an attempt to not laugh in Michael's face.

"I'm kidding!" I laugh, this is way too funny. "Your hair is perfectly dyed."

Everyone else except Michael is laughing, he huffs and walks to the kitchen.

"Oops?" I smile.

"He'll get over it. That was pretty funny though!" Calum gave me a high five.

"Let's clean this up, then if you want we'll play another game." Luke says as he starts picking up the bowls of snacks.

"I'll come back!" I say before walking into the kitchen and finding Michael eating a cupcake.

"Hi Michael..." I greet quietly.

"Hi!" He answers happily.

I laugh, "what are you doing eating a cupcake by yourself?"

"Because... I didn't want to share..." He slowly replies.

I shake my head and walk upstairs to my room and into the bathroom, I do my business and change my thingy... It's odd for me to call it a pad, it sounds so... Ew. I shake my head and wash my hands, and tie my hair into a ponytail.

I take long steps to get to my closet quicker, I grab some tight sweats and a black long sleeve shirt and change into that as fast as I can. I grab my pair of grey ugg boots and slip them on, I'm much for comfortable in these clothes than on my school clothes.

I run back downstairs to the living room, the boys were already finished cleaning.

"Hey Angela, who's Vanessa?" Luke asks.

My heart stops and my breathing rate increases.

Vanessa?... Oh my god, how does he know her? I didn't mention her name at all.

"Why?" I ask, on the verge of tears.

"She called you..." He slowly says.

I take deep breaths, trying so hard to calm down but that seems so impossible right now.

"What did... She say?"

"She said that she hopes you're okay and that she will try to make you feel better tomorrow?" He said, unsure of how I'm feeling about it.

"She sounds nice. Is she a friend?" Calum asked.

"No..." I let a few tears escape my eyes "she's the person who tortured me..."

My heart feels like its about to burst out of my chest. She knows exactly what she's doing and I know nothing will stop her from making my life a living hell.

When is this going to end? I don't think I can handle much more of this anymore, I just wanted people that loved me, People who wouldn't be cruel to me but that isn't what the world is about. This world is full of cruel people, people who don't understand the horrible things they're doing. No matter how hard you try, they'll always find a flaw in you and they'll torture you with it. Its like them holding a knife up to your chest, they laugh at your terror and misery.

Hell is everywhere but heaven is one certain place, you just have to make your way through hell to find it. Some people find it right away but others, it takes them a life time to find it.

"Angie, sweetie, calm down. You're going to hurt yourself." Luke wraps his arms around me and holds me tight.

"I just want to end my misery..." I whisper, tears still falling down my eyes like a waterfall.

"I blocked her, its okay. She won't contact you anymore." Calum assured me.

"Its not about that, its about how it seems like the world is throwing every evil thing it has towards me, when I feel like I can actually breath it turns on me and I get some new problem thrown at me." I shake my head, "I don't think I have the strength to do this anymore. I am beyond exhausted trying to be strong. It's breaking me."

"Lads, leave me alone with her." Ashton commands

Everyone, including me turns to look at him.

He gives a small nod and I feel Luke's grip on me lessen.

I let out a small whimper when he let's me go completly.

All the boys walk away cautiously before its only Ashton and I in the room.

"Okay Angie, I'm going to tell you my story." He takes a deep breath and rubs his hands together.
