[A Good Change... Or not?]
Takemichi, Inui, and Koko reach the building where the bombing had taken place and saw some authorities there sorting the mess. When the three of them came out of the car, one of the policemen came and approached them.
"Which one of you is the co-owner of the building?" the officer asked.
"That would be me." Takemichi raised his hand as he approached the officer.
"Well um sir, we have sorted the mess within the fire's proximity and the building is useable except for that part. We found remnants of a bomb in the room but was unable to identify its origins and whoever put that there." The officer explained as takemichi just listened to him.
"That's fine, you can close the investigation, we'll handle it from here." Takemichi politely said to the officer who nodded and bowed then left to tell the person in charge.
"Takemichi, are you sure you're okay? Like, are you dizzy or something?" Inui asked, concerned.
"Yes I'm fine Inupi, I just need you to remind me when to drink my meds and change bandages. I'm pretty much mobile and okay to move, but maybe the sight is... Nauseating." Takemichi whispered the last part but was left unheard by his two subordinates so he was met with confused looks.
He just smiled at them and walked in to the building, avoiding the room that exploded a while ago. Inupi and Koko figured it was because of safety precautions and while that's part of takemichi's reasons, there's one more. Guilt eats him up every time he looks at his previous room. A voice continues ringing in his head that it was his fault that they are in a state like that, that it should've been him, because if he was the only one injured then Toman would've already eliminated Hanma.
Then we would've gotten our happy ending... Takemichi thinks to himself.
But maybe... Happy ending doesn't exist in my life now does it... How cruel fate can be... He thought to himself as his mind wanders while he walks to the office.
Inupi and Koko noticed the sudden silence but didn't do anything to dissipate it because they figured that he needed this silence.
Takemichi halts his walk and stares at the chair, desk, organized papers and an asleep desktop. It was all owned by Mikey. Takemichi slowly walked to the desk, touched the papers and looked at it.
It looks like Draken was the one organizing these. No wonder they take long, I can't really imagine mikey organizing papers. Takemichi chuckles to himself before returning to a solemn atmosphere.
Takemichi takes a deep breath before speaking.
"Koko, Inupi, this is my first orders as your captain. Gather every Toman member in the lounge by the next hour, where the whole of Toman takes meetings, we have some weeding to do. Next, find the one who planted the bomb in my room and be sure to bring him in the basement, I'm pretty sure we have one there and don't do anything. Call me after you catch him. Do it fast, we need the suspect as soon as possible." Takemichi orders in one breath in a serious tone.
Koko and Inupi bowed then left the room to do what they had to do.
Takemichi was then left alone in the room and skimmed through the documents and honestly? It wasn't that hard to figure out what to do. During the past year, whenever he wasn't with Toman and had spare money, he started reading as a hobby and I guess that knowledge is now pretty useful.
Takemichi sat down and made a call before beginning, the person he was calling is Takeomi.
"Hanagaki Takemichi from Toman is here speaking. Takeomi Kun hi."
