FROM REBECCA'S POV

Rebecca is still half asleep when the calls start pouring in. The texts soon follow. By the time she wakes up, a bunch of girls are giggling at her and she wonders why.

Eventually a furious chaperones shows her the reason for all her calls and all their giggles and she is in genuine shock.

What the f*ck
This can't be happening
Tell me it's a dream
Someone let me it's a bad dream
What the actual f*ck

The internal screams go unnoticed and her expressionless face doesn't give away how badly she is panicking inside.

The picture is innocent if it was not on a college trip. It's just a kiss, two of them leaning towards each other and pecking each other's lips. Under other circumstances it could look cute but right now it just looks bad on so many level.

The ride back to their down is agonizingly slow and not just because of the rush hour traffic. Even her soundproofing headphones can't keep the chatter away from her. The walk down the dorm hall is just as torturous.

For some reason people think it's an achievement for Jim and a shame for her. The level of gender bias is just disgusting but she can't say much at the moment.

She gets an email informing her to visit the Dean's office at 8 am the next mooring. She assume the same email has been sent to Jim.

But by the time she wakes up the next day, she can hear screams, cries and fights all over the building. Turns out, whoever took her picture with Jim also took a bunch of other pictures of people in their highly hormonal moments, some much worse than others.

She checks her email to see the meeting with the Dean is cancels and everyone is asked to gather in the football court.

The Dean spends the whole day grilling everyone but mostly trying to convince himself why expelling almost 50 dozen kids would be a bad idea.

They eventually shut down the Club Page and find out who we uploading the pictures. Rebecca isn't surprised that one of the jocks that bullied everyone was in the center of the whole chaos. He had bullied a freshman into doing it for a place in their Club.

Rebecca isn't sure what happened next to the perpetrators but she is glad they were all sent off with a warning. But it stinks to know Jim has been keeping his distance from her. She understands it was my his fault and she wishes they could talk it out.

After a few days when everyone finally stopped talking about it, Rebecca decides to finally text Jim.

Rebecca: 07:31 PM Hey! You ok?

The wait for his response is pure torture but eventuality the reply arrives.

Jim: 07:45 PM I'M SORRY 😞

Rebecca: 07:45 PM It wasn't your fault.

Rebecca: 07:45 PM Wanna have dinner?

Rebecca: 07:46 PM I still have some cookies left and we can have them after dinner.

Jim: 07:46 PM OMW 🚶‍♂️

Their dinner conversation was laced with Jim's apologies and her reassurances that she did not blame Jim for any of it.

"I should have been more careful. I wasn't thinking straight." says Jim, still clearly apologetic and upset.

"The problem was your thinking straight. You do gay thinking a lot better bruh.".

They both laugh at that joke and spend some time over some more jokes about how being straight for 5 minutes was more scary for Jim than sucking off Sam under the bleachers.

Yes, Rebecca is shocked by that confession and surprised how no one had any clue the bleachers was THAT ACCOMMODATING.

Their friendship finds a way to bloom again and this time they decide it's best they kept it friendly between them. One jump scare is enough to get them back into the friend zone.

Rebecca at this point is Mayor of Friends Zone. She has no idea why she always ends up with people who just don't want to get into her pants.

She is too horny and too old, she thinks, to think straight and starts swiping left and right on dating apps all throughout her final year. It effects her grades eventually so she gives up on men until she can graduate.

One fine day between codes in her books and and charismatic pictures in the dating app, she finds a guy that catches her attention.

He is from a different university and also with the same major as her's and he seems harmless in his picture. But she doesn't want to tempt her fate. So she just keep him in a maybe pile.

One night she is out for a small local band concert with her friends where she bumps into him and they connect almost instantly.

They start dating and over time they grow fond of one another. Trying to keep is PG13 was a waste because he is just as passionate as she is. Rebecca has finally found a guy she can be herself with but she wants to keep it all to herself, at least for now.

Jim wants to know everything but Rebecca has a feeling he will simp over her new boyfriend so she hides some essential details like the fact that he is over six feet tall, built like a Greek God and talks with a voice deep enough to rumble your soul.

Jim does not need to know how her new boyfriend wraps her in one of his arms and lifts her effortlessly. Jim also doesn't need to know how her new boyfriend uses his tongue for more than just licking kitten kisses on her fluffy cheeks.

And most importantly Jim doesn't need to know her boyfriend is over romantic and wants to settle down sooner than later.

There may have been a metaphorical ring and an imaginary proposal involved in one of their dates and she may or may not have said yes. But Jim doesn't need to know any of that yet.

Graduation is close and she just wants to get this part of her life over with and move on to the next phase. She is excited to introduce her much more accessible and lovable boyfriend to her family. They both plan on visiting Rebecca's home after finals.

Everything seems like a dream and Rebecca often pinches herself, hoping it would wake her up but wishing that it doesn't change her reality.

By the time their finals are over, they are all getting ready to head off to real adulting. Rebecca wonders if her boyfriend's family will accept her and hopes her family wouldn't look at him with the same tinted glasses they used for Hector.

The whole year feels unreal. Rebecca had no idea so much would happen in a matter of months. But somewhere it has prepared her for facing the real World where there will be no chaperones, no campus aid and no safety net.

Adulting seems scary to Rebecca but she is comforted by the fact that she isn't alone and people before her can possible guide her.

Goodbyes are going to be tough. She isn't sure how to do it with Jim. But she is soon reminded of the Goodbye she witnessed between Hector and Sam. Maybe they were more than friends, she finally admits to herself. Maybe Hector was the same way for Sam as Jim has been lately.

Her fears make her wonder if she is only attracted to men who were never going to end up with her and she starts panicking.

But soon, she gets a text from her boyfriend.
