Chapter 62

A/N: Like I said in the last chapter I’ll be ending this story in 20 or so chapters. There will be three time hops coming up, so get ready for those… I’m very excited for the end of this story. I’ve had it planned for a while now and I’m excited to be sitting down and writing it! I hope you like this chapter and the rest of the story…

 I didn't edit this, and it's literally just a tad shorter than normal, but i just finished writing this and i have to get ready for work :/

Eva’s POV

“What am I going to do now?” I ask.

“You going to spend the rest of the day to be upset and then tomorrow you’re going to get up in the morning and you’re going to go out looking for a new job.” Jake tells me.

“I’m going out looking for an apartment, so we will meet up at one for lunch and to reevaluate.” He adds.

“I guess I should start looking online of places I could go.” I say more to myself.

“That’s the spirit.” He rubs my back.

“Can we just watch a movie or something, before I do that or—“

“Shit, I’m so sorry—you were apartment hunting-- I didn’t mean to pull you away from apartment hunting, you can leave—I’ll be fine.” I totally forgot he was looking an apartment.  

“Hey.” He cups my face with his hands.

 “Its fine I’d rather be here with you.” He leans in closer to my face, and presses his lips softly to mine. I don’t respond… I’m so caught off guard

“Sorry, I’ve wanted to do that for a while now.” He smiles, my cheeks heat up.

“I shouldn’t have done that.” He pulls away from me, when I don’t respond.

“No, no, no, I just wasn’t expecting that.” I grab ahold of his hands.

“Okay.” He smiles.

“But if you do need to leave I’d be—“

“I’m not going anywhere. I can finish looking at apartments tomorrow.” He smiles at me.

“Okay.” I smile.

“What movie do you want to watch?” He stands up and walks to the TV stand to look at the DVD’s. After a few minutes of playful debate we finally pick ‘Fun With Dick & Jane’. I cuddle into his side as we watch the movie in comfortable silence.

It’s been an exhausting six months since Harry fired me. I’m working as co-head of the financial department at a clothing company. I wish I could say this job fell into my lap, but I had to work really hard to get them to hire me. Even though my college transcripts were impressive they couldn’t get passed that I was fired from my previous job after so little time there. I personally think Harry told some important people in the business world not to hire me. With everyone turning me down I’d thought about moving to London and taking Isaac up on his offer, but this job came up and I took it.

Jake and I are now official and our relationship is getting stronger every day. He has an apartment a few blocks away from mine and Niall’s place, so I’m constantly over there. Niall tells me I should just move in with him, but it’s way too soon… right?

“What are you guys doing today?” Niall asks. Jake just came over to pick me up… we are going to ‘Central Park’ for the day.

“Central Park.” Jake smiles.

“Sounds like fun. I’m heading to Holly’s now, we are going to lunch with her parents.” He runs his hand through his hair nervously.

“Ahh, meeting the parents.” Jake teases.
