Eva’s POV
My alarm blares in my ear, scaring the crap out of me. I turn it off and climb out of bed. I want to try and be out of here before Harry wakes up. I can handle Emily and Isaac but after yesterday I don’t really want to be around Harry. I walk over to the bathroom and take a quick shower. I throw my hair into a high sock bun and do my make-up, before I get dressed. I put on a floral print t-shirt, ripped denim skinny jeans, a blue linen jacket, and black ankle boots. I grab my other jacket and put it on as well, I know its cold outside. I grab my bags and unplug my phone from its charger and stuff it in my pocket. I walk to my bedroom door and take a deep breath before I open it and walk out. I walk quickly past Harry’s door and rush down to the kitchen. Emily and Isaac are sitting at the center island.
“Morning.” They smile at me. I nod and walk over to the fridge and pull out a bunch of green grapes. I wrap them in a paper towel so I can walk to school and eat at the same time.
“We would love to sit down at dinner tonight and talk if you are up for it?” Emily asks/states.
“Sure.” I shrug. I really don’t want to, but I don’t feel like I have a choice.
“I’m going to go.” I tell them before walking out of the kitchen. I see Harry at the top of the stairs when I walk past the stairs towards the front door.
“If you give me ten minutes I can drive you to school, so you don’t have to walk in the snow.” Harry rushes down the stairs.
“I rather walk in a hail storm then ride with you.” I snap before I walk out the front door, slamming it behind me. I wrap my arms around me and walk as quickly as I can to school. When I get to school I make my way right to first period. I tried to get here before the majority of the students, so I can avoid their stares but I failed.
“Oh hello dear.” Ms. West smiles.
“Hi, do you mind if I sit in here until class starts?” I ask.
“Of course.” She smiles. I thank her and then walk to my table. I pull out my things for this class and just wait for class to begin. I still have thirty minutes. Thirty minutes pass faster than I thought and my classmates file in. They all stared at me and whispered to each other. I look down at my desk and try to ignore the whispers.
“Ignore them.” His familiar voice whispers.
“Fuck off Harry. You caused this.” I snap quietly. He takes a deep shaky breath before turning around and sitting in his chair. Class starts and Ms. West gives us our first assignment. We have to use clay and make something that reminds us of happiness. It takes me ten minutes to figure out what to make. I decide to make a butterfly. As a little girl I used to go outside and watch the butterflies fly around. They always looked so free and content.
“What are you making?” Harry turns around and asks.
“What don’t you get?” I growl. He raises an eyebrow at me.
“I’m not talking to you, so stop trying to make conversation when it clearly isn’t going to happen.” I snap.
“We’re having a conversation now.” He smirks. My stomach flutters at his playfulness, but I push it away and flick him off. He chuckles softly before turning around and going back to what he is doing. I’m relieved when first period is over, well that is until I realize I have to go to Mr. Payne’s class. Yes it might be a little less awkward then it was yesterday, but it’s still going to be awkward. Walking into the class I knew everyone would stare at me, but I’m surprised that they look up for a second before going back to their conversations. Well that was weird.
