Hey everyone! It's been a while, hasn't it? Sorry I was gone for so long! I didn't mean to keep everyone waiting, but I've been busy with school and I've had some serious writers block. I've only recently had the motivation to start writing again, and I hope that you will all forgive me for making you wait. Now, this story is about a character of mine who has lost everything and summons Siegfried himself. I hope you enjoy!

Kore sat there, tears running down her face as she was forced to empty out every last drop of her mana into the summoning circle in front of her, the men and women keeping her captive muttering to themselves as they held their children who had just about exhausted all of their mana.
'I wanna go home,' she thought as she let out a sob, pain spreading through her body as she continued to force mana into the summoning circle.
Her pale green hair shimmered in the blue light, the force of the mana swirling in the circle blowing her hair out of her face to reveal the flower-like crest on her forehead and the black vine-like markings that protruded from it. Her teal eyes were watery and overflowing with salty tears that slid down her pale cheeks drained of blood, her pale pink lips trembling.
'I wanna go home!'
Golden light exploded from the summoning circle, throwing back the men and women behind her as they let out startled shouts. Kore let out a sob as she covered her eyes with her hands, trying to hide her face from whatever was happening.
"Saber. Siegfried. I have come in response to your summons. Please give me the order."
Kore peeked through her hands, looking up at the servant as he glanced around the room. His eyes landed on her, widening by a small fraction at her small, trembling state. The Saber servant crouched down in front of her, scooping her up in his arms before he stood back up. He was warm, and his arms felt safe- a safety Kore hadn't known in many years. Siegfried's hair brushed against her cheek as she hugged his neck, hiding her face in his collar as he walked out of the room, ignoring the shocked faces of the men and women in the room.
"Do you require justice?" Siegfried asked, glancing down at the child in his arms.
Kore shook her head, keeping her face hidden in his shoulder.
"No..." She said quietly as she grabbed fistfuls of his shirt and squeezed it in her hands. "I just wanna go home."
"As you request, Master," Siegfried said as they left the castle together and walked into the forest.
Finally, after years of suffering, this white-haired saber had freed her from the monsters that kept her from leaving her past behind. She finally felt free. Kore fell asleep to the rhythm on the knight's steps and to the rustling of leaves as the wind blew through their hardy branches. The grass truly was greener on the other side.

I know this one was a little short. I wrote it a while ago and finally decided to post it. If you've made it this far I'll go ahead and tell you I won't be accepting requests for a while- sorry about that. I'll try and upload at least once a week- maybe on Fridays or on the weekend. I hope everyone continues to enjoy my writing as much as I enjoyed writing it!
For a bonus, here is a bonus drawing I made of Siegfried and Kore!
