Lena walked over to the balcony door and motioned for Kara to follow. Kara, however, did not follow. She wanted to know why her sister was at Lena's door at this hour of the night.
"Kara, come on," Lena looked at her and pleaded.
This time Kara stood up and walked over to her but she stopped right in front of her instead of walking out the open door. Lena wanted Kara to go out the door and didn't have time for this. She was beginning to grow impatient as there was another knock at the door. She knew that Alex would be inside after the third knock. She always did if Lena didn't answer. Sometimes when she visited Lena had fallen asleep while she worked and wouldn't hear the door.
As Kara sidled up to Lena she towered over her and demanded answers, "Lena, what is my sister doing here?" She asked as she glanced at the door.
Lena looked into her eyes and knew she couldn't lie. "Do you trust me, Kara?"
Kara contemplated her answer, she didn't know what Lena would say next. She knew that she thought that she trusted her but that was a matter of before she saw Alex behind the door. Kara sighed and dropped her tough demeanor, she decided to trust Lena, "Yes."
Lena smiled, she was glad that she trusted her. Although she told her about her identity she wasn't sure if that was really Kara or the Kryptonite speaking. Although Kara's eyes were still sparkling with a pinkish glaze, she just hoped that Kara's words were truly hers.
"Okay, okay good. I'm sorry I have to push you out the door, but I really need you to go. I promise that I will give you an actual explanation to this," she motioned with her hand to where Alex presence was.
"Promise?" Kara echoed her just to make sure she was sincere.
Lena grabbed Kara's hands in her own and kissed the top of them, "I promise."
Kara held Lena's hands and didn't want to let her go. She half dragged her out the door and onto the balcony where she stood and planted a soft kiss on Lena's lips.
As she rose into flight she hovered and took one last look at Lena. "You missed a button by the way." She pointed to Lena's blouse that she threw on in a hurry.
Lena looked down and sure enough she had missed a button and her shirt was uneven. She fixed it and when she looked back up, in true Supergirl fashion, Kara was gone. She sighed and leaned up against the concrete edge of the balcony with her arms folded.
She stood there not wanting to move and waited for Alex to knock for the final time until entering.
