Lena walked through the door of the critically acclaimed Italian restaurant chain just as their table was ready. She was stunned as she saw Kara in a blue dress that was oh so revealing in just the right places. Her hair was curled and her bangs perfectly framed her face where her glasses sat perched upon her nose.

"Reservation for a table of 2 for a Miss Danvers," a man called out from a podium at the front of the restaurant and looked around to find his next customers. Kara stood up and walked towards him.

Just as she was beginning to explain that, her plus one was not there yet, Lena came up behind her and placed a hand on her bareback. Kara had chills go down her spine as she looked up unexpectantly surprised to see Lena standing there and smiling.

"Ah, I see that the party is all here now?"

Lena responded with a kind, "Yes."

"Very well then, allow me to show you to your table, ladies." The two women nodded and followed the man to a secluded spot near the back of the establishment that was right by a large stained glass window. The night sky was visible through it. "I hope it is not too much of an inconvenience. There was a last-minute booking and your original seating option was revoked as we had a large party come in. Will this table be okay or should I try to find you another spot, Miss Danvers?"

"Lena? Is this spot fine with you? Looks like we can see the stars from here," Kara inquired.

Lena saw Kara's eye sparkle as she looked at the stars and she smiled, "It's perfect, we'll be fine here. Thank you."

"Nice choice," Kara and Lena both sat down at the table across from each other, and menus were placed in front of them.

The waiter continued, "Now, can I start you ladies off with something to drink?" They passed on their orders to the man and then he left their table that was in its own little room to go and retrieve the drinks.

"Well he seemed nice," Kara started off the conversation as the waiter had already left.

Lena replied to her about the service, "And very professional." She then pointed outside the window, "And, hey, we lucked out with this incredible view too."

"Yeah, we did. I don't think that I have ever seen this many stars in the sky here in National City. Reminds me of home."

"Midvale?" Lena raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, yeah, Midvale." Kara stopped looking at the stars and then down at her menu very tentatively. She wanted to tell Lena all about Krypton and the trillions of other stars that you could see from the planet. As well as the other planets that she traveled to in the vicinity of Krypton that had massive planetariums and observatories where the science of the cosmos was being researched.

"Metropolis seemed to have an unhealthy amount of light pollution that you aren't able to see the stars. Even on a clear night."

"I've always been fascinated with the stars. Even when I was little. It makes me feel close to my parents, especially my father. I probably would have been just like him actually. Likely studying medicine or the stars."

"I didn't know that your father was a scientist."

"Both my biological and adoptive father were actually. I used to work with my father in his lab so many evenings when I was a kid. I learned so much from him." Reminiscing the memory, Kara smiled. She then looked up at Lena and changed the subject although she wanted to open up more. "So, uh, didn't you say that you had an important meeting with a certain cape crusader after dinner?"

When you don't know what to talk about, just talk about your alter ego. Why not?

"Yeah," Lena raised an eyebrow, "it is over very important confidential matters that I cannot discuss in public."
