"Ember, I think you were right when you said yesterday that I might've been growing wolf fangs." Glory looked in her mirror, and she felt two side teeth that were extra sharp and they stuck out slightly more than her other adult teeth. "I got little baby fangs."

"Ow!" Ember bonked his forehead on the bottom of his desk. He'd been working on fixing it ever since it's drawer went scratchy and rough, so he'd been at work all afternoon, with his head underneath. He'd still been listening though. He pushed himself out from under the desk and looked at Glory, who stared at him with curious eyes. "Yep, I knew that whole wolf spirit thing would get to ya. I also told you that I was kidding, you know."

"Oh, so I suppose these are just super sharp baby teeth?" Glory crossed her arms.

Ember shrugged and pushed himself back under his desk to get back to work. He asked for his wrench, and she put it in his palm, he brought it under and she soon heard the grinding sound of small nuts being screwed into the drawer. He reached back under and gave her a thumbs up sign. She gave him one in return and he pushed himself back out to test it.

He slid his hand into the drawer handle and pulled outward. The drawer stopped squeaking, but it still rubbed roughly against the desk when he slid it in and out. He sighed and pushed himself back under to keep fixing up the problem. Glory sat down right beside the desk in case he needed any other tools. After a few more minutes of cranking, Glory perked her head to look at the doorway when Fawn came in.

"I need your help with finding a pen for Nightmare, Glory." Fawn said.

"Ow!" Ember bonked his head again before pushing himself out from under the desk, and he rubbed his forehead. "I can help with that, Fawnie."

"Thanks, but I can see that you've already got your hands full." Fawn smiled. "It'll just take a second."

"I thought I told you that we weren't keeping that thing for a pet." Glory crossed her arms.

"You said that about Panama too, now look who won't leave us alone for five seconds?" Ember wiped his face clean with a rag. There were rusty splotches on his face from earlier.

"That wasn't a group decision though, this is." Glory scoffed.

"But he's just a wittle baby." Fawn pouted and imitated a baby voice.

"Regardless, I really don't see the point in keeping that scale-ball when we've got plenty of company already." Glory gave them both a serious look.

"You said that before Ember and Raven decided to stay." Fawn said. "Now look how much better off we turned out to be with them."

"Yeah, crazy girl." Ember smirked. "I'm the best thing that you've ever had here."

"If you say so, dummy." Glory shrugged and got up to stand next to Fawn. "Take me to the little runt so we can get this over with."

Fawn smiled before leading Glory outside and down into the valley below, leaving Ember to push himself back under the desk and get back to work.

Fawn told Glory that Nightmare was hidden in the small patch of berry bushes just past the first rows of the forest. Fawn followed close behind as Glory led the rest of the way, and she didn't bother being sneaky. There was definitely not going to be any danger nearby. For such a tiny dragon, it made a lot of racket, any enemy within ten miles would've fled in terror.

Glory frowned the whole way, even when she finished the small walk and squinted into the bramble. The berry bushes that covered the edge of the creek were all rustling, and she heard pitched squeaks and what sounded like a dog whimpering. It sounded pathetic and pitiful to Glory, but it sounded terrified and helpless to Fawn. She rushed ahead while Glory stayed behind with her arms crossed in displeasure. It hurt her ears to listen to the small annoying thing.
