Ember spent at least five minutes explaining his 'great plan' to the rest of the group, about how he wanted to be as safe as possible, and if it didn't work, and they couldn't bring him and Raven home, then they couldn't. It took so many times trying to convince Glory and the rest of them to leave without them, but they still wouldn't give in, which was agonizing. Glory just kept shaking her head and telling Ember that they wouldn't leave him behind no matter what.

"Where are we going to stay without Melissa knowing where we are? She had eyes all over Del Bar." Peril said.

"There's a small inn that you all can stay in and wait until Raven and I come out and confirm the all-clear." Ember said, and Raven nodded.

"So the plan is for us all to hide out in some motel while Melissa comes back and Ember throws some fire at her? Then we'll all just go home happily prancing around like pixie fairies? No offense, but I was really hoping you had more than that." Glory rolled her eyes.

"Well, I was wanting to confront Melissa and see if Mable was really still alive, and how she's doing." Ember scratched the nape of his neck. "any other suggestions?"

"Yes, don't do any of that." Urchin said from the back of the group.

"Why not?" Ember asked.

"Because, dummy, she'd probably wake up and kill your ass. But if you want to visit her, be my guest." Glory said.

"I know, but I still really miss her, even after she did what she did last time." Ember said.

"Bro, I'm with Glory on this, I don't like it, but I am." Raven said truthfully. "Mable isn't the sister we both knew anymore, man. She never will be again."

It took Ember a moment of deep thought before he nodded sadly, and Glory could see how much pain was in his heart right now. She knew that Ember had once loved Mable too much to let her go, and now Glory knew that he had known Mable long enough that he would probably still choose her over Glory. If the time came to it, he would forgive Mable, but he would also let Glory go, since they hadn't spent as much time together as he had with Mable. And now Glory knew to accept it, because she would never stand in the way of Ember and what he wanted in his life.

"Okay, so where is this inn?" Glory asked, wanting to get the stupid plan over with.

"It's just a couple blocks to the left. With a big sign on the doorway, you can't miss it." Ember said.

"You're coming with us, correct?" Astro asked.

"We'll walk you there, but we're gonna have to come back and meet Melissa when she gets here." Ember said.

"Okay, but we need to be quick." Glory said, shrugging her backpack on her shoulders and starting to walk out of the room.

The rest of the group looked at each other before they all started following her and they passed out of the bedroom into the hallway. They went left and followed their leader down the large flight of stairs before they stopped in the main hallway, where their boots met a red carpet. Glory peered around the corner to make sure the guards were off duty, which was surprising enough. The castle was completely empty. Is was almost too easy, almost.

She waved the group forward to her and they all ran through the many corridors of the castle, left, right, right, left, right, left, until they finally reached the main wooden doors and they stopped short. The doors were heavily shut, they may as well have been locked. But that wasn't a problem for this group. Ember stepped forward and huffed in a big breath, held his leg up near his waist, and extended it, kicking the door as hard as he could. His leg rattled, and the doors flung wide open, picking up a cloud of dust in it's wake.
