After Glory's fever coma was over with, Ember couldn't help but get the feeling that what he saw might have been his fault. When Glory and Melissa were fighting in the burning silhouette, he knew it had been because his love and his mother never saw eye to eye, and it had caused them to panic and battle. Melissa had taken everything from him all because he'd chosen to live with a different group of people, along with her actual son. And if he didn't do something about it, it would actually happen in the future.

So, that next afternoon, he was busy in his bedroom, packing a precaution backpack in case he needed to leave in order to put a stop to it. But if they didn't find any solutions, then he would need to say goodbye, because there was no way he was going to let these people fight an entire army of soldiers when all he could do was watch it happen. Unfortunately, while he was packing, Glory caught him and walked in, curious as ever.

"Going somewhere?" She asked harmlessly.

"Not really." Ember wasn't looking at her, just at his backpack.

"Then why the backpack?" She questioned, confused.

"It's just a backup plan." He said, shoving the backpack in his wardrobe and shutting the doors.

"For?" Glory kept on asking.

"If I ever need to leave." He started getting frustrated now.

"Why would you need to leave?"

"I don't know!" He yelled, and she stepped back a little. He immediately felt bad. "I'm sorry. I just can't get something off my mind."

"Oh, do you need to talk about it?"

"No, but I can't keep it to myself either, so I may as well tell you." He sat down on his bed, and she sat down next to him.

"What's wrong?" Glory asked.

He took a minute before beginning his thoughts. "I keep seeing that same image in my mind every day, back in your fever dream, where you and Melissa were fighting. I feel like it's my fault, because of my living here and Melissa waiting for Mable to get better without Raven and I. So if we can't come up with a solution to keep that battle from happening, I might need to go back to Del Bar."

"Slow down." Glory stopped him. "First of all, we don't know if that will really happen. Second, how is that going to be a solution for everything? There was literally nothing left in that dream. And if Melissa wants to go up against a whole group of lethal warrior Elves, then she can go right ahead, we won't go down without a fight."

"You don't know that." Ember said. "If I'm right, and Melissa is plotting something, I have to know." He sniffled. "I have to go back. And I have to convince her that I'm on her side of this fight, so maybe she'll back off. Or I'll tell her off for trying to murder you all and she'll stop because of me, but I have to do whatever it takes."

"Well, at least let me come with you." Glory said, putting her hand on his shoulder.

"No, I can't risk you or anyone else getting caught." Ember shook his head. "Not again. Never again."

"But we can't let you go alone." Glory said.

"I won't be alone, Raven will have to leave with me." Ember said.

"And you think Astro's gonna let that happen?" Glory smirked. "Forget it. She may be meek, but she can be vicious when she wants to."

"It won't matter, you know I'm right." Ember replied.

"I know that you're onto something, but not that you're right. It might have just been a hoax to rile us up, that doesn't mean it's true." Glory rolled her eyes.
