That night, Glory was restless with the reoccurring habit of avoiding sleep. It wasn't like she was trying to stay awake, but every time she started dreaming, she always felt nightmares coming to keep her from sleeping peacefully. All she saw was death and destruction with every passing minute, so she just laid awake in her hammock, staring up at the ceiling with heavy eyelids. She blinked several times to stay awake, but she knew that she was bound to fall back asleep again like earlier. And she dreaded it.

She grunted in frustration when she forced her eyelids open again, angry at herself for refusing to sleep no matter how bad of dreams. She finally gave in and welcomed sleep again, no longer caring how bad she slept as long as she slept through the night. Her eyes closed again, and before she knew it, the next nightmare came, pulling her under so fiercely that she could no longer wake up again. Her face and body dribbled with sweat as she thrashed and tossed in her hammock, wrinkling the blanket and rustling the fabric, tossing her pillow and quilt to the floor.

Soon, as the nightmare got worse, she started whimpering and now, screaming bloody murder. She yelled and thrashed harder, like a seizure was controlling her limbs, causing her to panic and squirm around. The door to her bedroom slammed open and Fawn rushed inside, followed by Ember and Urchin. Astro wandered in after them all, her hands cupping her ears as tightly as she could, her head hurting more than ever with a raging headache. Peril helped her and sat her down in the hallway till her head calmed down from the headache. Fawn saw Glory's thrashing body and rushed to her side, immediately forcing her down to her hammock by holding down her chest and legs.

Glory's eyes suddenly popped open, and they were glowing white again. Wind around them started whipping around in a funnel like a hurricane just burst through the door. Her hands were clenched in fists at her sides, then her hands gripped onto the hammock fabric beside her, and she yelled out in agony again. It was clear that something had taken control of her body. This was no ordinary nightmare, it was more like a fever dream.

She yowled and shrieked as loudly as her lungs let her, and Astro held her head tighter. Then, not ten seconds later, Raven burst in and sat next to her immediately. Peril nodded and left them two alone so she could join the others while they cared for Glory. Fawn held her squirming body down and Ember held her face in his hands and he and Urchin yelled at each other for one person to do the other. Glory wriggled and jerked around until her eyes squeezed shut again, and she started crying. Tears trickled down her face and she gasped and yelped. It hurt everyone's ears and Fawn put one arm under Glory's back, and the other under her legs. She lifted Glory up to her chest and suddenly ran her out of the room and hastily made her way downstairs. Fawn kicked open the main door of the oak tree and ran Glory over to their medical shack near the library. It was made mostly of wooden planks and a cotton curtain covered the entrance of the building.

Fawn pushed the curtain aside and laid Glory down on a small wooden bed of sticks and a small white blanket with a feathery pillow. She set Glory's head on the pillow and left her to wriggle and screech to her heart's desire. While she turned away to a nearby desk topped with remedies and herbs, Ember and Peril rushed in to help. Ember sat next to Glory while Peril helped Fawn with her medicines. Fawn shoved and picked through the many bundles of potions and glass bottles of liquids, and greenery. She finally stopped at and plucked a small vile of orange liquid, then she ran it over and uncapped the bottle. She tilted the rim up to Glory's lips and the liquid disappeared as she swallowed it and succumbed to the medicine.

Glory's body stopped jerking around, and she quit yelling like a maniac. All that was left was her clutching tightly onto her white blanket and grunting in agony. Ember sighed slightly but turned to Fawn. "Shouldn't that have healed her?"
