"Alice!" She didn't have to even leave her room to know who that was. "What the hell?!".
But that didn't stop her from coming out anyway. "Hey Oli, what's up?".
"I told you to be ready to leave! And why on Earth is this stuff still in your apartment?!" He was pissed, he assumed that she would've listened to him by know. That however was one of the things Alice wasn't great at, well it wasn't that she didn't listen, she just took time to do things.
"I know, I know. Look I got distracted working on my dress, I started sorting everything though" but that didn't help her much. It wasn't good enough for her fiancé.
"That stupid dress! I told you to just buy one, it's not like we can't afford it, you could literally buy the fanciest wedding dress you want. Maybe if you weren't spending so much time focusing on something pointless then you would have finished this by now!" As he said that he began rummaging through her apartment, dumping comic books and figures into bin bags.
"It's not stupid, I promise I'll get everything done! It'll all be perfect, like you said before" she rambled trying to take her things from him.
"Get off!" He screamed pulling his arm away from the girl.
She stood in shock for a moment before questioning him, "please stop. What are you doing?".
"I'm doing everything for you since you're completely useless! I'll take all of this crap to Comic centre. It's not like you're keeping it"?
The problem here was that he didn't know what she wanted to do with it, just what he wanted. "Oliver please stop. That's my stuff, I'm not just getting rid of it all".
"We had an agreement!".
She was quite quickly loosing her patience, this anger had seemingly come out of nowhere. "It wasn't an agreement! You told me what you wanted and completely ignored my wishes, it's my stuff, I decide what I do with it!".
"You're so stubborn! Get rid of the damn toys, you're not a kid anymore!" As he shouted this he slammed the figure he had picked up down onto the table.
"They're not toys". Alice gently picked up the figurine and placed it upon a shelf before reaching for her fiancé's hand. "Why are you suddenly so angry?".
He took a deep breath and held his hand up to his forehead, "I'm not angry".
"Then what was all of that about?".
But truthfully he didn't know what to say because he didn't know for sure, "It's just... it's just we're getting nowhere. None of your stuff is ready for the move, nothing is sorted for the wedding..."
Alice led Oliver over to the sofa where the pair sat down, "there's no need to stress it'll all work out perfectly fine".
"Just move in already, then I won't have to be so worried about you and we can focus on the wedding".
"Why are you worried about me?" She queried, she couldn't think of any reason he should be.
"My fiancé is living in this dumping ground and I don't even know what you're up to half the time. Of course I'm worried!".
One difference between the two of them was that Oliver could be quite possessive, he always wanted to know where Alice was and what she was up to. She on the other hand wasn't, Alice liked living on her own and having her independence.
"I can take care of myself you know" she reminded him, but that wasn't the comfort he needed.
"Just move in by the end of the week. Then we can start moving forward... together"(It's been a while... but I'm back with this story! I'm almost finished with deadlines and then I want to focus on finishing my current stories before starting 2 new ones, including the next Shamy story. Thanks for your support while I took a long break from this while I struggled with some personal stuff but now I feel ready to continue writing Alice's story within the group)
