I am nothing
If not broken promises
And coffee-stained pages
I am nothing
If not broken smiles
And tear-stained notebooks
I am nothing
If not broken mirrors
And bloodstained knuckles
I am nothing
If not broken-hearted
With beer-stains troubles
I am nothing
If not broken phones
And lipstick-stained letters
I am nothing
If not broken skin
And love-filled errors

Fabiano

I raised my eyebrow at him

I raised my eyebrow at him. "Yes?" He had barged into my office. It was as if he was physically incapable of knocking.

He looked at me. "I kissed her."

"Do you want me to pat your back?"

He threw his knife at me. I moved my head and the knife dug into the wall, making a new mark amongst many old ones.

He sighed, sitting on a chair across from me. "So, kissing isn't bad, apparently."

Xerxes looked up from his book. "Finally lost your virginity?"

"Not my fucking fault I never wanted to kiss anyone on the lips like you fuking whores," he grumbled.

Zavier, who was laying on a couch with his phone in his hand, looked at Giovanni. "Aw. Did you tell Olivia yet? She'd try to bake you a cake."

"I will kill you one day."

I relaxed back in my chair. Ashton had flown back to Olivia. The Creeds were here to try to grab Angelo but he was too good at hiding.

I took the knife out of the wall, throwing it back at Giovanni who easily caught it.

"Where's Leyla?" I asked him.

He shrugged. "Talking to Olivia."

. . .

Leyla

"Are you serious?"

"He is going to kill me."

"He had never kissed anyone before?"

"I didn't you that you didn't know it!"

I let myself fall on the bed on my back, looking up at the ceiling of my room. "I took Giovanni Valentino's lips virginity."

"He is definitely going to kill me."

I laughed. "He has really never kissed anyone?"

"No...I mean, yes. Of course, he has."

"You already told me the truth, Livy. Don't hide it now."

She sighed. "He is going to cut me into little pieces."

"Nah, he loves you too much."

She hummed.

I sat up. "You and Gio..."

"We have a friendship. Nothing else."

I hummed, running a hand through my hair and then wincing as my fingers got stuck in my curls. Damn it. "You seven seem close."

"Well, Fabiano doesn't really like me. Dante is just polite and Giovanni is possibly my best friend. We are close, yes. But Creeds and Valentinos are closer."

"Do you know Alisa Sokolov? She was going to ask something about you but Giovanni cut her off."

Olivia was quiet for a while.

"You don't have to tell me. I didn't mean to pr-"

"She was my best friend when I moved to New York."

"Wasn't that someone named Georgia?"

"Yeah," she chuckled bitterly. "Georgia was Alisa. Undercover and shit like that. She was a kind of friend to me that you just...know is going to be with you the rest of your life, you know? We clicked, I don't know if that was a part of her job or that we actually clicked, but we did for me." She sighed. "We were invincible together."

I hummed. "The kind of a friend you can burn the world down with."

"Yes," she said, I could almost sense the nostalgia in her voice. I could almost imagine the tears in her brown eyes. "And then stuff happened."

"You miss her."

"Every day. If I didn't have my husbands, I would have gone crazy."

I rolled onto my stomach. "I'm...happy that we talk."

"Really?"

"I mean...I love Gabby but she is a fireball. You...You kind of listen."

"Being with Mafia men can be a lot," she said. "It can be threatening, as you know. It can be intimidating. It can make you question your own sanity. The men we are with...they are not normal men. So women like you and I need to stick together. The Mafia world is a dangerous place and we, as much as I don't like to admit it, are outsiders."

"I want Gabby and Astrid to have a normal life."

"I don't think them walking around without bodyguards can ever be a possibility, Leyla."

"That sucks."

"And it keeps them safe."

I hummed. "Thank you for saving them."

"You don't have to thank me."

I rolled onto my back. "I..." I sighed. "This is a lot."

"Talk to them," she said. "About everything you are feeling. Lay it all down on the table."

"I have many...many demons, Olivia."

"I know," she whispered. "And all of them are dead now."

"Except my dad."

"He'll be dead soon."

"We should not be this comfortable talking about deaths."

"He deserves it. Everyone who hurts us deserves it."

She had indeed turned into a mafia queen.

"You're so fucking powerful."

"Magic of the Creeds."

. . .

I walked out of my room and instantly bumped into Giovanni.

He cupped my face and kissed me. He mashed our lips together. His lips were harsh and devouring as he ravished mine. One would never be able to guess he was not experienced with kisses. When our lips had touched, he had turned around and walked away. I had instantly called Olivia to inquire if that Italian Capo was bipolar.

He pushed me on the wall, kissing me more deeply till I was gasping for breath and my panties were wet.

Too wet.

I pushed him away.

He frowned.

I ran to the bathroom and pulled my panties down.

Great.

My periods were not regular. My gynaecologist said it was because of stress. Now, my period was back.

Giovanni marched inside the bathroom. "What are you-"

His eyes fell on my stained panties. "Oh...Okay."
