Chapter 9

POV: Anthony

I now understood what was up with Anna.

After Kalel told me, I started crying myself.

The thought of losing Anna always was in my mind, but knowing that it is possible....

I will die if I lost her.

I was done crying now, but the thought was still in my mind.

I was making lunch when I felt a rush of sadness.

I know it wasn't me, I was done crying. For now at least....

I went to the window and looked out it. Anna was running to the building.

Crying.

I looked at the door, ready.

She came bursting through the door. Her eyes met mine right away and she ran to me.

I opened my arms and gave her a hug.

"It was horrible Anthony!" She cried into my chest.

I held back tears. Please don't put her into depression. "What happened?"

"Ian...."

My eyes went wide and I bent down in front of her, "You went to visit Ian?!"

She nodded, "He begged for me to stay! But I told him I couldn't! I couldn't leave you! You are my pack, Anthony! It would crush me losing you!"

I was about to say something when she started again.

"He started crying....He was pleading.....He was begging for me not to go.....I can't do this Anthony...."

I grabbed her arms, "Yes you can! You will not give up on me! I will not lose you!"

She looked up at Kalel, "She told you?"

I nodded, "Yes Anna! You know how long a cried? For hours Anna! I will not lose you!"

"You don't understand what i'm going through. I just killed Ian....He won't be the same...."

I shook her arms, "I will not lose you because of him! You hear me?! Don't leave!"

She looked down at me and saw my tears.

She nodded, "Ok..."

I looked her in the eyes. She was lying.

I will kill Ian.

I let go of her and stood up. 

She walked to the bed and threw her bag on it.

I continued making lunch, "What's in the bag?"

She sat on the floor and grabbed her phone, "Stuff..."

"Really?"

She didn't answer me.

I shook my head, "We're back to this now, I guess...."

I finished lunch and gave a bowl to Kalel.

I tried to hand Anna one.

She pushed it away, "I'm not hungry."

I shrugged and put the bowl on the counter, 'It's on the counter when you are."

She nodded.

I sat down next to Kalel, behind Anna.

I looked down at her phone.

She was texting Zack.

Zack texted, Where have you been?

Anna replied, I've been busy. Life is hard at the moment.
