Anna's POV
"Have you ever tried pockys." I said and she looked at me."Pockys?" She mumbled.
"Yeah... there like biscuit sticks with like frosting at the end." I said sitting on the bed with her.
"What?" She mumbled.
I grabbed my bag and unzipped taking a box of chocolate pockys out. I looked at her and opened it.
I started to open the bag as I saw Cassidy scratching the back of her neck. I pulled her hand away to make her stop. She look at me as I sat in front of her.
I took one out and tried giving it to her but she formally refused. My purpose was trying to make her eat something.
"You first." She said and I took a bite. I grabbed another one and waited patiently.
I was normally an impatient person unlike Cassidy she was more than patient. She would wait until she was told to do something else.
But I was willing to wait because I know the meds that her coach out her on was something that would take time to get use to.
"I'm not allowed to have... chocolate." She mumbled.
"No. Your allowed to have chocolate. Whoever made you believe that is a liar." I said as she started to want the pocky.
"You can trust me..." I whispered as she started to want the pocky more.
I felt her started to grab it from my hand. I carefully let her have it as she started to break a piece from the top.
She started to chew as I got up sitting behind her. I put my head on her shoulder from behind as I immediately felt her tense up but calmed down in a few seconds.
After she ate the first stick she looked at me. I knew she wanted another one.
Instead of giving her another one I just gave her the entire box. She looked at me as I nodded.
"I can have the entire thing?" She asked and I nodded.
"But they are yours." She mumbled and I could tell she was s getting a little more comfortable with me.
"It's okay. I can go buy more." I said snd she started to eat them.
"What's this?" I asked seeing a cloth that was drenched in blood.
"Oh... my little brother cut his arm while cooking. I must have forgotten in here. I'm gonna go... wash it." She said sitting up and grabbing it.
I looked around her room. Her room was a light gray shade and she had candles everywhere. Her room just as dirty as mine. She had her medals and trophies on a shelf. She also had a jersey that was signed 'Ella Delle Donne' Must be a famous basketball player.
Cassidy walked back in she started to get in her bed. Her bed was only a blanket and one pillow. With a stuff animal that she cuddled straight too.
"You want me to stay?" I asked her and she shrugged.
"Stay if you want." She mumbled but after that I could hear her light snores.
"You fall asleep fast..." I mumbled turning her light off.
I didn't know if I should stay or leave but I didn't want to leave her with an empty house. I decided to sit on the bed before laying down. I laid on the smallest end possible so she could have all the space she wanted.
I looked at her desk seeing a bottle. I grabbed it and to my surprise they were anti-depressants.
I put them back and got on my phone. My tiktok inbox was blowing up as always. I just scrolled.
I was gonna lay down but when I felt a arm over me I looked to my right and saw Cassidy who's arm was draped around my waist.
I smiled and played with her hair when suddenly I heard the front door open.
"Shit." I mumbled going on my side where the back was to the entrance of her room and I faked sleep.
"Honey?" I heard as I laid still has possible.
"Come here." It was masculine voice so it must have been her father.
"Well you already knew she was gay." I heard feminine voice that must have been her mom.
"No way I didn't know that." He said.
"Look. Have you ever seen her bring a boy? Or have you seen her hang around boys?"
"Honey she barely ever hands out with people." And that kinda made me a little sad.
Cassidy had moved an entire body onto half of mine. She was still cuddling into her stuff animal yet the parents were still in the doorway.
"You think we should confront her?" They asked.
"No. We should let het comfortable with us. She should be able to talk with us when she wants to." Her mom said.
"We wanna improve her social anxiety. We also want to amp her anti-depressants. She's been coming home late and really tired." She said and I looked down at Cassidy.
She was drooling a little on my arm before the parents away and I let out a sigh of relief.
I slowly got out of Cassidy and decided to go home since it was kinda late, considering it was 5.
I got out my extra pack of pockys I had and laid it down on her desk before leaving her. I left s note telling her I had to go home.
I slipped out before her parents should even see me and went in my car.
Cassidy was much more calm person. I liked that she was so calm around people. She just doesn't talk to many people. She wasn't such a bad person than people judge she wss.
