The doctor says, “he’ll have to stay here a few days but he will get better.” “Well what does he have?”, I ask. He’s not being very helpful.

"I'm sorry, we're talking to family only." The doctor says and pulls Wasington and Martha to the side to talk to them. "That's rude." Eliza mumbles and continues to stay glued to my side. I nod in agreement until Washington comes over to us with an answer. "Pneumonia."

Pneumonia. Of course it’s respiratory. I feel so bad for him. Sick and a broken arm. That’s not fun at all. I hug Eliza and whisper, “how do we help him?”

"Just… just be there for him, I guess. The best thing we can do is be there for him emotionally, even if we can't help physically." She says. I nod in agreement. Those are some pretty wise words.

Alex wakes up and starts coughing. Well he’s awake so time to put Eliza’s words into action. Once he finally registers where he is he starts to panic. Both Eliza and I go to his side and try to help calm him down.

"Hey hey shhh." Eliza tries to soothe him by playing with his hair and rubbing his arm. It's no use, though. He's panicking a lot and trying to get out of bed. "Alex please- it's for your health…" I try.

“I d-don’t want to be here”, he says through coughs. “We know”, I say calmly, “But the more you rest the sooner you can get out of here ok?”

He nods, "ok.." I smile a bit and kiss his head. "I have an idea to help you feel better." Eliza says and gets in the bed with Alex, which he gratefully accepts. "What's your idea?" I ask and pull the chair up right next to the bed.

“We’re going to stay by your side and talk and watch movies with you until you get better”, she says. Alex slowly nods before leaning into her a bit. Sickness takes a lot out of him. I can barely believe this is the same Alex that jumped off a roof a few days ago.

"It's the least we can do. And we'll get you food and snacks and presents whenever you want." I promise him. He smiles weakly and holds my hand. "I love you both so much." He whispers. "I love you two, too." I say but Eliza freezes.

“You alright Liza?”, I ask. She nods and tears up a bit. “What’s wrong- why’re you starting to cry?”, I ask her a bit concerned. Did we say something triggering around her?

"I can't say it-" Eliza whispers and starts to get off the bed. Alex pulls her back. "Don't leave-" says almost silently. She nods and cuddles with her again. "What do you mean?" I ask and hold her hand with my other. "Everytime I say it, the relationship falls apart. I don't want that to happen here." She cries into Alex's shoulder.

“It’s not going to fall apart”, I gently reassure her. Alex weakly hugs her and says quietly, “we’ll stick by your side no matter what happens Liz.” She takes a moment to compose herself before softly saying, “I love you two so much and I’m glad you guys are in my life.”

"We're glad you're in our lives." I say for myself and Alex as I can tell he's too tired to contribute to the conversation anymore. He silently nods along and holds Liz close. "We love you so much." I continue and walk around the bed to kiss her carefully.

She calms down and hugs both of us, happy we’re both still here. Her ex is lucky he’s in jail because I’d like to have a word with him for causing her this much mental distress in a relationship.

"Im going to go to the gift shop." I lie and get up. Really, i'm going to have a few not-so-nice words with Stephen. Alex nods but Eliza looks at me, maybe even my soul, before nodding and letting me leave.

I drive to the holding cells at headquarters and look down the list of names to find his cell number. He’s going to regret some life choices in a few minutes. I quickly walk down the cell block before stopping in front of an all too familiar face.

"Hello Stephen." I mumble bitterly. He looks up from his "bed" and rolls his eyes. "Hello tiny tim." He says and walks over to the cell door. I triple check it to make sure it's locked, which it is.

“I’d like to have a few words about how you treated my girlfriend when she was with you”, I say. “Does it look like I care how she was treated”, Stephen says. “You will in a moment”, I mutter under my breath.

"You'll be fired if you lay a finger on me." He smirks cheekily. I chuckle to myself. "So then I won't lay a finger on you." I tell him. He smirks again until i pull out my taser and tase him. "I'll talk to you when you regain consciousness." I say and walk off.
