Away from sand

I turned around and there was nothing. But I am damn sure there was something! I had heard the laugh!

Still in doubt, I turned back to start again and then...

A group of tiny creatures emerged from the sand! The things had small heads made of sand, with gleaming eyes and an eerie smile. Also there were two stones floating beside each of them.

"Hihihihihihihihihihihi" They started squeaking again! It's the same sound I heard that time. It makes me feel uneasy.

possible. The noise kept increasing! My ears were starting to hurt!

I could see the trees more clearly now. There's a forest up ahead! I didn't stop anymore, I ignored the noise and paced up. The sand gradually got thicker as I went further away from the coast and finally, I was running on solid ground.

The noise stopped. I too pulled my breaks near a tree and took a long breath. I looked behind and the creatures had disappeared. There was just empty sand.

Whew! That was creepy! I don't know how many of such creatures are there in this place! Gotta be careful! I will also need something to protect myself.

I took a look around. The forest gives off a cool vibe. All the trees here have blue leaves. There were some yellow fruits growing on some bushes. Would it be safe to try them?

I walked over to the bushes, plucked the fruit. It looked good. Had a nice fragrance. I was hesitant, but every cell in my body urged me to take the bite. So... Without any further thought, I sinked in my teeth.

"mmmmmmmm!!!!!" It's a delish! I took another bite, then another, and kept on. It had a mild sweetness with a tinge of sourness in the flavour. I plucked four more and ate them off too. That was enough to sate my hunger.

This place full of beautiful trees is a sight to behold! The ground below is soft too. I wish I could keep resting here. But there's more work to do. Gotta find a source of fresh water.

There was something like a path between two trees. Small patches of green grass on the soil.

I went in, carefully. Also broke a small branch from a tree. The blue leaves have a refreshing aroma. I doubt that this would work if a creature jumps in. But that's the best thing available for now.

Its been a while since I went along this path. Haven't seen anything new yet. Just the same blue trees and those fruit bushes. I wonder if I am going around in circles.

After walking some more, I noticed that the ground beneath me had completely changed. I was walking on soft grass. And now, there were bigger trees and with green leaves.

The part of the forest behind me has blue leaves but infront of me is complete greenery.

It felt good to find a change in the scenery. I wondered why I haven't encountered any creatures yet. There were bushes full of those tasty fruits, but no one eating them. It's all weird.

I continued straight through the gaps between the trees.

These are slightly bigger than the blue ones. They even have tiny purple fruits growing from the branches. I took some along with me. Might try them later.

I wondered what to do if I don't find a source of water. It would be good to light a fire and boil some sea water. But going back to that beach, would be real trouble. Wait! What's that!!!!!!

 Wait! What's that!!!!!!
