Chapter 1- Class is Starting

[Alex's pov]

Never in my entire 4 years of tranquil lazy slumber have I dreamed of coming back here...
And yet here I am walking up this same road that I walked along with several others 4 years ago.
Sure brings back those memories... of the old times...
hey there, I am Alex Belgium (not a rip off of Alec Benjamin), 17, senior year in the infamous SFI High School and I never imagined I could have a proper high school life experience after the devasting effect of the pandemic. Now that it's finally happening...sure makes me a lil' uptight about it. But I ain't letting that affect my impression during my last year of high school! Because no matter how nervous I am about schools reopening, I am twice as hyped about it. And I'm determined to have a proper high school experience like what I saw in the TV shows for 4 years before I flip off this school and yeet away. Why am I saying all these in my head? Because I'm having a major 'main character talking optimistically to himself at the beginning of the show' moment right now as I am with full motivation, walking towards the school gate which is apparently... Empty? Huh? Where are all the other students-

?- "early again Mr. Belgium... still holding onto your old habits are ya? Huh I expected nothing less..."

Alex turns to the left towards the source of the sudden arrogant mocking voice and finds his old friend Spencer Agnew underneath a tree by the school gate. His hands were crossed, was wearing gas station sunglasses, his blonde hair was parted from the middle, his head tilted low and he posed just shady enough to make it seem like he's about to sell drugs to grade schoolers.

Alex- "Spency! Long time no see!! W-What are you doing here? Where is everyone?"

Spencer- "Clueless as always... [sighs] You arrived early dumbass. Your punctual ass can never give you a break from saving time, can it? Now wait till others feel like coming to school after 4 years..."

Alex- "Early? [checks time on wristwatch which says its exactly 9 am] ...But I'm on time..."

Spencer- "Yeah but they aren't. Not everyone is as punctual as you are even after 4 years of laziness and fatigue. Everyone has messed up time schedules and half of them didn't even wake up yet. So, you are the one who's not on time dumbass."
