find Alex along with his wacky friends having a hard time trying to fit in to their old lifestyles after they finally go back to offline schools. Just when they thought his life can't get any more stressful, they get to know that the Annual School C...
The massive crowd of students are screaming their lungs out at the extremely overdramatic and extra speech of their "cool principal". Hailee among the hyped crowd sat and awkwardly clapped at the horrendous shit show. (get it? shit show? like the tittle of the previous chapter? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahaha... I'm genius.)
A girl with a black mask sitting right in front of her row turns back with a cold and unhinged face, clearly not impressed by the "welcoming speech" and looks at Hailee. Turns out it was none other than River Riverdale. Her expression changes as she examines her and turns rather curious.
River- "Are you the new girl from 202-A?" Hailee- "Y-Yeah... do you know me?" River- "I have heard about you from someone from your class. I'm River Riverdale, class representative of 201-A." Hailee- "Oh! you are in 201-A?! makes sense cuz I accidentally went into your class while I was trying to find mine... " [awkward laughter]
The crowd around them screams again causing them both to flinch...
Hailee- "erm... this is quite a welcoming show.." [faint awkward laugh] River- [rolls eyes] "ugh... tell me bout it... its like they are celebrating all the events of the year in a single day!!!" Hailee- "Y-Yeah..." River- "And trust me stuffs like this happens almost everyday..." Hailee- "....oh dear." River- "Hmph... what's even great about reopening schools? we were better off at home... at least we didn't have to pretend to be something we aren't..." Hailee- "...." River- "Like what even is the point of all this? An opening ceremony?! for what? Coming to school and do the exact things we used to do at home but now we have to socialize with each other and talk? I don't even wanna look at people..." [proceeds to rant]
Hailee stays silent for a while letting the homesick girl speak out her issues...
Hailee- "hey uhm... on the scale of 1 to 10 how much do you hate people?" River- "Genocide..." Hailee- "Understandable..."
The crowd cheers loudly again... Hailee have had enough of it and decides to get up.
Hailee- [tapping River's shoulder] "...have a great day." [walks out of the auditorium]

Hailee walks out of the auditorium and decides to walk through the empty corridors and rooms in order to explore them since she is yet to see almost all of the whole campus.

She enters every room one after another, going through the scribbled seats trying to figure out what stories they hold. There is something about an empty school building which makes it so much more interesting and mysterious. She finds a notebook laying on a desk and goes through the pages. she finds some funny scribblings and even funnier conversations in them. She laughed out loud after seeing a page filled with an illustration what it seems to be of Mr. Hamilton twerking to WAP in the school gymnasium. Then when she reaches the last page of the notebook, something catches her eyes. Her expression immediately changes when she reads through a page filled with backbitching and shittalking about some particular students and even sexually harassing them. She freezes with an expression of disgust for a few seconds then immediately puts the notebook back on the desk and walks past it onto her next exploration.
She enters the school central library and finds herself surrounded by tall shelves filled with thousands of books of all kind.

She walks through the silent treasury of knowledge and picks out some books which she desires to read. She goes back to the counter, fills in her entry in the logs and shoves all the books in her backpack. She walks out and seems to be in search of something yet unknown.
Finally her legs stop Infront of the science lab.
Hailee- This works too I guess...

She walks in and searches for a burner and some utensils. But whatever "science experiment" she was about to cook up very secretively got interrupted by a sudden noise of something falling from the other section of the lab followed by a male voice.
?-"Shit! please don't break-"
Hailee- w-what was that?
Hailee walks into the medicine dispensary to find a tall figure crawling on the floor picking up medicine canisters.
?- "Dammit- there's not a single medicine for high people...!!!"
Hailee- "you... need something?"
Alex- "WHO-" [flinches and stands up to face her] Alex- "Wait-- Hailee? You are Hailee Baker right? the new girl from our class?" Hailee- "Uhm- yeah... you are in my class?" Alex- "diagonally in front of you... I'm Alex Belgium." [lowkey disappointed that she doesn't remember] Hailee- "Oh! I- I'm so sorry I never noticed you..." Alex- [aside] "It's okay no one does..." Hailee- "what?" Alex- "what- w-what are you doing here?" Hailee- "I should ask you are same question..."
They both pause for a second.
Alex- "Right- uh- I was finding... medication for a sick friend of mine..." Hailee- "Oh... I see. My dad is a doctor I can help you with that. Tell me the symptoms..." Alex- "He-... well... he is talking gibberish... about to pass out... shitted his pants because of explosive diarrhoea told me a whole biography over some Lexie Hernandez-" Hailee- "He is high...?" Alex- "...[sigh] yeah..." Hailee- [sigh] Hailee- "There isn't a drug for curing high... people use drugs to get high..." Alex- "Oh- Damn... I feel like a moron..." Hailee- "don't worry It's good to feel yourself sometimes..." Alex- "What?" Hailee- "NOTHING-"
Hailee turns back towards the other side of the lab for a few seconds with the expression of sudden realisation and turns back to him...
Hailee hands Alex a hot flask as Alex inspects it way too closely...
Hailee- "here..." Alex- "Whoa... what is this? some kind of chemical? A potion? to cure nausea??" Hailee- "It's called coffee...moron" Alex- "....you mean that disgusting bitter thing adults drink at 3 am while working to keep them awake...?" Hailee- "...you don't drink coffee?" Alex- "...you drink coffee? [mocking] I thought coffee is only for people who are depressed, barely employed and in their late 20s..." Hailee- "...excuse me?" Alex- "I'm kidding relax... just not a fan of caffeine." [awkward laugh] Hailee- ".....you know you really fit you nickname...moron" Alex- "ouch.."
They both pause for a second... then start dissolving into laughter, Alex and the new stranger in the lab.
