Saltwater...

I can say it's fairly easy to stay buoyant in it. The density in it is higher than fresh water. That's a fact.

I can also say that immediately dismissing intrusive thoughts by doing a coping activity is completely doable.

In reality, doing what is supposed to make you feel better feels like a chore.

No one can tell you how to find the light at the end of your tunnel. They could express how they did it, what you should do, and what you're "not" doing. Anyone, even myself, could shout and say "DO IT! Get up. Get out. Go meet people."

But, rushed verbs sound immediate.

A lot of the time the affirmations we speak to ourselves sound rushed. Alluding to the idea that what ever is going on within yourself will be fixed 100% by tomorrow, or next week, if you do these things.

Healing from within shouldn't sound as if there is a time limit on how long you can process your emotions.
