Mr. Novak's POV
*trigger warning*
I walked through my front door, shrugging my trenchcoat down onto my elbows. I was exhausted from today, even though nothing tiring really happened.
Gabriel walked out from his bedroom, looking at me. "How was detention, brother?"
I sighed. "Splendid, Gabriel." I tried putting sarcastic emphasis on a true statement.
"You seem tired," he commented, probably noticing the usual small bags under my eyes.
Walking past him, I said, "I'm always tired."
"Yes. I know." He snickered. "Dinner is on the stove."
"Thank you."
I walked to my room, did the usual routine before eating and sliding into my bed.
Today's events replayed in my mind.
A tiny, sleepy smiled crept onto my face before I drifted to sleep.
~~~
Entering the school and walking down the hallway, headed towards my classroom, I saw the students giving me disgusted looks.
Did I do something I'm not aware of?
I walked into my classroom, and turned the lights on. What I saw, I couldn't comprehend.
My board was covered in sloppily written insults.
Disgusting.
Faggot.
Rapist.
Pedophile.
You don't deserve the air you breathe.
Freak.
Please die.
Kill yourself.
He died because of you.
What the hell was going on?
I turned and saw students walking into the room. "What is going on here? I demand to know this instant!"
The students walked closer. One speaking up. "You know what you did. You're disgusting!" They stepped even closer. "Raping Dean Winchester!"
"I have no idea what you're talking about!" I yelled, still not understanding what was going on.
Another student stepped forward. "You don't deserve to live! Dean took a whole bottle of painkillers because of you! He did nothing to you!"
Tears started stinging my eyes. "I wouldn't do that to, Dean..." I felt my knees wanting to give out.
"Then why did he kill himself, you fucking pedophile!?"
"Why would you even think of doing something so horrible?"
"He didn't deserve this!"
I dropped on the floor. I didn't know what to do. I stared at the floor, salty liquid running down to my chin.
They kept screaming, but I didn't understand them anymore. It had become a loud buzz in my ears.
One made their way to me. I looked up in time for the barrel of a gun to meet my forehead.
I looked. I didn't move. I didn't react.
They pulled the hammer of the gun down, and put their index finger on the trigger.
Before the trigger was pulled, I heard my name.
Again and again I heard my name.
~~~
"Castiel!"
The scene of the gun changed to Gabriel's face over top of mine, shaking my shoulders with a great amount of strength.
"Oh my God, Castiel! I thought you wouldn't wake up!" He pulled me up, hugging me very tightly. "I was so scared..." He sniffled, and I felt, what I assumed to be his tears, running down my bare back.
I looked at him, very puzzled, and relieved that last thing was just a dream. "What happened, Gabriel?"
"You started screaming in your sleep, so I ran in here to check on you, but you were completely still, quiet. You weren't breathing either."
I sat up properly and rubbed over my face."Well I'm okay now. Please calm down." I looked around. "What time is it?"
"It's 3:13AM." He stated with a less shaky voice. "Maybe you should stay up."
"Okay. Go back to bed. I'll be okay. Thank you, but I need sleep, brother." I stretched my back.
He gave me a worried look, but deeply sighed. "Alright." He gave me one last hug before walking towards the door. "Goodnight."
