All was a seemingly normal day at the Columbia University campus in New York City, until a gas leak at a mechanic's garage caused a massive explosion. Luckily, no one was killed in the aftermath... despite there being reports of multiple people still being in that burning building. A few young adults stood out to police, as one had been seen running straight through the flames, yet came out without a single burn mark, carrying another person from the wreckage. Another man was seen holding up a large chunk of metal, allowing a woman trapped underneath to free herself. These two were heralded as heroes by the student body, but these feats had caught the attention of a certain agency... specifically, the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division

"Give us the rundown on these kids." The S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent demanded.  "They're just a group of kids who're suspected of being mutants after some freak accident at a Local campus Garage. We're pretty sure it's nothing, so We haven't interviewed them yet, obviously. That's not procedural, We have to run DNA Tests and background checks before we ca-" But the man was cut off by the SHIELD agent. "We weren't asking when you're going to. We want a synopsis within the next hour, Owens. That's a direct order from Nick Fury."

"...Alright, fine. I'll do it now. O'Neil, with me in room one." The Doctor sighed as he called his assistant over. "This'll be a long day" The Doc thought as he read the files while his assistant accompanied him to the room. "So, what freaks are we dealing with today, Mike?" The assistant rudely asked. "They're not freaks, Eric. Just potentially... Different." "Same difference!" The young apprentice said with a chuckle. The two entered the first room...

The doctor sat down with his assistant, not looking up at the girl in front of him. "Greetings, Miss. I'm-" but the doc was cut off when the girl began speaking...

"Doctor Michael Owens, Ph.D in Psychology and recently, Specialist in Psychotic behavior among mutated humans. Your wife's name is Nicole, you have a 3 yaer old daughter named Bridgett, and you have a two-year old Corgi named... Jessie, is it?" The girl spoke, slightly tilting her head while asking the last question. Her words left Doctor Owens speechless. The girl was about 5 foot 5 and had blonde hair that fell just past her shoulders. Her eyes, which were previously hiding behind a pair of sunglasses, seemed to be capable of staring into your soul. She glanced at the Assistant. "Your name is Eric Mitchell O'Neil, You have a Minor in Psychology, a Major in Biochemistry, and you're looking to gain some more credibility from this position before pursuing much... 'loftier' goals. You're also Single and you live alone, yet you aren't quite content living this way. I'd say you're depressingly lonely... and, that You're a Vir-" The assistant jumped up, infuriated by her "Assumptions".

"She's a Spy! Not a Drill, We have a confirmed HYDRA Sp-" Owens snatches the com from his assistant. He seems intrigued by how much the girl knows... "So, are you some sort of intelligence Agent? If so, who do you-" but the girl cut off Owens with another sentence. "Doctor Owens, you drove here in a crimson red 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe, which your assistant, Eric, carpooled in. And... well, Doctor Owens had 2 cups of coffee and a creme filled long john donut about 20 minutes ago, while O'Neil, you had about Four Pop tarts and a bottle of 'Code Red' flavored Mountain Dew." They both fell silent again. "Please, I can go all day. I'll cooperate, just as long as you don't try anything stupid." Owens sighs, putting his tablet down and finally looks her in the eyes. "So just who are you?" The Doc asks the subject of their interview.

The woman was seemingly annoyed by the fact that she was stuck here. She sighs before speaking again. "Alexa Barone. I'm a Private Detective." She says, crossing her arms. "And I was only at the campus because my brother was there working at the garage that was near the incident. Now, I know that's not reason to disclose any information to you two, but since I already showed off a bit, I'll humor you and explain. I'm not a spy. I'm telepathic. My mutation simply allows me to hear your thoughts, read your minds, whatever you want to refer to it as. It's nothing too special..."
