I was cleaning the bathroom. It was my duty to clean up today, I was so tired and hungry. Some commotion was going on outside so mi lef weh mi a do fi fast.

David always silent an watch him ugly son do things, without thinking.

She go out the gate n draw in a small suitcase.

"A you get r pregnant Justin" mummy asked.

"No mummy".

"Little girl a who get you pregnant" David says.

"It was Justin, him a the only person me eva sleep with". Steff told mummy sobbing.

"Uh have proof" mum says.

"Weh uh mean if mi pickney have proof, uh little dirty son need fi stand up n tap tell lies" she say loudly.

"Deja come ere to mi" mum said.

I tek my time and walk like mi just get up from me chores.

"You ever see deh girl ere before in the house r Justin with her at school".

Now all the attention was on me, what should I say, Steff never talk to mi a school she did a middle-class girl but she was popular. Justin ago fuck around me if me say yes and me also no wah that because I enjoy my peace right now but I can't lie.

Mommy and Steff mother was still arguing while I was trying to avoid Justin's glares.

Steff was practically thanking me with her eyes. She was brown-skinned, her hair cream, and she thick in body.

Steff mother left the house and mother walked inside the house.
David did a drink some tea and a read newspaper. Him not even say anything about the situation his son is in.

I strode to the kitchen sharing out some food for myself. And then pull a chair out from the table to sit and eat.

"Deja," someone said, I turned around to see Steff looking down at her shoe.

"Thanks, for saying you knew me".

"Oh that's ok," I said walking to my room I changed my mind I'm not eating down here.

"Umm, Deja your mother said I'm sleeping in your room but I don't want you to be uncomfortable, I really-" Steff says.

"Steff it's fine just please keep it clean," I said.

Steff wasn't a bad person it was Justin who brought out the worse in her. But why cheat with you best friend boyfriend? And Anna said that Ashley was pregnant Soo? This is some tea.

My phone was vibrating under my sheets. I had to put it on vibrate because that loud ringtone is gonna get me in a lot of trouble,

I close the door quietly and answered.

"Hello," I whispered.

"Hey baby, you okay?" Killian says

"Yes love, what's up?" I smile saying.

But watch yah

"I'm gonna pick you up tomorrow after school so reach down the road early," he said.

"Okay, I have to go".

"Alright, I love you bye" he hung up.

I blushed reminiscing about the first time he said it, he's kind to me but in the streets, he's a real gangster.

I love being loved but I want him to feel loved as well.

I like him just lo- fuck I can't even say it.

I opened the door to mummy looking at me, she looked around like she wants to find out something then after her eyes search every single corner she said to me.

"Mi no believe that likkle gyal, but she ago stay in ere until we can get this problem out my hand," she said carrying the suitcase to a corner

"Ok," I said sitting on my bed.

I washed my plate and was packing my school bag for school, clean mi shoes and then bathe fi go bed.

Me did in my underwear when someone knocked, I opened it to see Steff, fuck I forgot about her.

I opened the door wider and let her in, she was so damn shy, why was she fucking Justin?

"I'm not gonna hurt you Steff you can put your clothes in my closet over there, it's not much but I can share it" I said moving some of my stuff, I looked up to her crying.

"What's wrong?" I asked confused.

"I always see you around school but you always look so mean and Justin always say you no like nobody, but you are the only one who welcomed me" she sobbed.

"I just don't like talking sometimes, I think it's really not necessary to waste my breath on people".

She laughed a little

I continued to clear out my piece a closet.

"You must be wondering why I'm sleeping with my best friend's boyfriend," she said sitting on my chair.

"Nope, I really don't care" I said changing the sheets.

"Ok, I deserve that," she said.

"No you don't, That's not my business, the left side is yours and when mi go school please close mi room door and don't mess it up".

"Ok I won't, good night Deja," she says laying down beside me.

"Good night," I said hugging my pillow.
