Thumpthump... thumpthump...

Spencer curled up more as the sunlight shone in his eyes, turning his head slightly to get rid of the glare. His eyes fluttered opened and he gazed up at his husband.

Husband... it had a nice ring to it after everything the couple had gone through. They had just gotten married the previous night, which was then later accompanied by a wild night of fun and passion.

Spencer smiled as he gently rubbed Derek's sculpted abs, entranced with gazing at his husband's features as he slept. He looked so incredibly peaceful as he slept, and Spencer found himself willing to watch Derek all day if he had been allowed to.

He looked back at the scars lining his own arms, staring at them for a moment before smiling. They would have been a grim reminder of a horrible mistake for some, but for Spencer, they were a welcome reminder that this moment was real, and that he wasn't going to wake up from it any time soon. This was the end of the nightmare, and the beginning of a blissful dream he never wanted to wake up from.

"Morning, pretty boy."

Spencer tore his eyes away from his scars, looking up at Derek with a soft smile. "Morning." He said quietly, wrapping his arms around Derek's torso and hugging him.

Derek's arms tightened around his body as he hugged back. He kissed Spencer's head and smiled at the hickeys and bite marks coating Spencer's neck and collarbone. Spencer was his, and he was proud of it.

Spencer sat up for a moment, stretching a bit, before laying back down. He took a moment to feel the scars, his mind blissfully devoid of any anger or sorrow. He didn't regret the scars anymore... In fact, he would do it all over again if it meant the same incredible outcome.

Derek knew that look. He knew it quite well after having dated Spencer for so long. "Whatcha thinkin' about, baby?"

Spencer shrugged.

"Don't you lie to me."

Spencer pouted playfully before answering. "I was just thinking about how I don't regret these anymore. I would do it all over again if it means having you in my life in the end. I don't know where I'd be without you, Derek, and I don't want to think about where I could be without you."

Derek nodded and smiled, taking one of Spencer's arms and pulling it up towards his face. He pressed a kiss to every little scar on his wrists and forearms, wanting Spencer to know and remember how much he loved every little bit of him, including his scars.

"I love you, Spencer. You know that?"

Spencer smiled, closing his eyes and leaning his head back slightly. Even after all the years, hearing his name come out of Derek's mouth always sent ripples of emotion through his body. sometimes, he would even shudder when his name left his husband's mouth.

"I love you too, Derek. Please don't ever forget that."

Derek let go of Spencer's arm, his kisses moving up the genius' humerus, up his shoulder, and over to his neck. He began to kiss and nip at the soft flesh, watching as Spencer tilted his head to the side. Even the littlest reactions from the brunette, like the soft hitching in his breath as he searched for that one spot, made these moments worthwhile.

"Never. I will never let myself forget anything again. You're mine... And we will both never forget that." Derek promised, his hands gently skimming down Spencer's sides, which earned him a shudder and a small noise from the other male.

"D-Derek..." Spencer whispered breathlessly, enjoying the feeling of his husband's hands drifting down and grazing the bare skin of his sides.

How a tender moment could turn so quickly was beyond Spencer, but as far as he was concerned, he loved the loss of control. He loved it whenever Derek would take charge, whenever he would make Spencer aware of how little control he could have of a situation. Sometimes it was exciting that Derek would take control like that, but other times, it was pure bliss between the two.

But this wasn't the pure bliss he was feeling. He needed something more than the little kisses and nips that Derek was slowly pressing to his skin. He needed more than the gentle grazing of Derek's fingers against his sides. He looked at Derek, watching his husband for a moment longer before pulling away.

Of course, Derek whined, until Spencer got up and straddled his waist, and he quickly caught on, flipping the two so that Spencer's back was against the sheets, his hands holding Spencer's hips as Spencer wrapped his arms around Derek's neck, kissing him passionately.

Soon, the two found themselves in a heated make-out session, their lips moving perfectly in sync. Spencer began to count the seconds their lips were together, reveling in the feeling that bubbled up inside of him as they kissed. God they both missed this...

Once they pulled apart for a moment, Spencer bit his lip.

"What's wrong?"

"C-Can we stay in bed today? I want you to keep reminding me of how much you love me."

Derek smirked and nodded, his grip on Spencer's hips tightening slightly.

"Anything for you, pretty boy." He smiled.

And in an instant, their lips were connected again, throwing them into the heat of the moment once again.
