Leland, Alyssa, and Rhiannon all gathered in James's office. They didn't have much to say and mostly just sat in silence. Once in a while there would be a sigh or two.
The sound of a phone ringing snapped everyone out of their trans.
"Hello?" James answered "Oh okay thank you I'll send someone down there."
"Who was that?" Leland asked
"The funeral home, We should start making funeral arrangements."
Leland took a deep breath "Man I can't believe she's really gone."
"Has anyone seen Joe today?" James asked
Everyone shook their said
"Yeah I expected that answer."
"Has anyone seen Hennessy either?" Rhiannon asked
"The last time someone said that it ended us with this." Alyssa said quietly
"She's right." Leland added on
"She was still asleep this morning; I don't think she came in." James said
Leland turned to Alyssa "I'm surprised you didn't make a worse comment." he chuckled
Alyssa just shook her head.
The door opened slowly.
"Hey guys."
"Joe, what are you doing here?" James asked
"It's an office day isn't it."
"We'll yes but since everyone was up all last night it wasn't mandatory to come in." James stood up to give Joe a hug "It's good to see you brother."
Joe's eyes looked swollen and his voice sounded cracky. He avoided as much eye contact as he could with everyone.
"So um are we going to have a funeral for her?"
James did a silent sigh of relief "Yes of course. I mean if you want to."
Joe nodded
"As a matter of fact the funeral director just called and I need people to go down there." James said
"I'll go." Joe quickly replied
James smiled "I had a feeling you would wanna go. Maybe I'll send Rhiannon and Donny with you if that's okay."
"Yeah that's fi-"
Alyssa interrupted Joe "Sorry for interrupting but why Donny? He didn't grow up with Llydia."
James sighed "I mean if you really wanna go then go."
"Yeah I'd like to." Alyssa said with a little bit of sas
James shook his head at Leland when they left.
Hennessy laid in bed facing towards the window. Her pillow case remained wet and her eyes felt blurry. She kept scrolling through her phone but there was nothing to see.
She thought to herself how could I be so stupid. Nobody ever died when I was with mike. We'll kind of but I never caused anyone to die. I basically killed Llydia.
She started to tear up again as she felt her phone vibrate.
Rhiannon: hey girl. i hope you're doing okay. we are headed down to the funeral home (me, Joe, and Alyssa) maybe we can meet up later if you're up for it if i don't see you at the office. v
Hennessy threw her phone to the other side of the bed for it to get lost in the covers. She made eye contact with her closet and her clothes waving to her.
"Hi nice to meet you. My name is Patty. I'll be assisting you through this planning process."
Joe stood in front but couldn't put out a reply
