a blast from the past

*beep beep*
Hennessy is awaken by the sun beaming onto her face and sounds of an alarm clock in the distance. She thinks to herself how she's never been more tired in her life but also so fulfilled. For a moment she felt like she was living her own life, in this big city, with a great job, a part of a family (kind of), and living in this all glass penthouse. she gets up to go start getting ready in the bathroom and the first group of thoughts run through her mind; do i really need James. she spent majority of her life trying to please a man who didn't really love her but stayed out of fear; how does she know james won't do the same. An hour or so passes and Rhiannon is out front waiting to pick Hennessey up for work.

"Hey girl hey i missed you i didn't see you all day yesterday. Where have you been?" Rhiannon asked

Hennessy open the car door and got inside. "Oh Rhi I have so much to tell you." She blushes " I met a boy..."

Rhiannon's eyes widened "Um sista your quote boy is in greece right now so i'm not sure who else yoh may have met..?"

Hennessy realized how bad it sounded and quickly corrected herself " well he's just a friend... But he's really nice really sweet and kind of cute. His name is Donny and he came into the office yesterday and he gave me a ride home because I was the last one there."

"Oh my gosh- you're living on the wild side." Rhiannon nervously laughs " better hope James or nobody finds out because Donny will be dead. i haven't seen donny in a really long time actually."

Hennessy tried to hide her smile as she looked out the window " i'm sure you'll see him today. We have a project we are working on"

"A project? You know what i'm not going to ask baha we are already here and it seems like a big story." Rhiannon says

It's like deja vu from yesterday but if anything the office was more alive. Rhiannon's heels clipped across the floor while both girls headed to the elevator. Hennessy was a bit nervous to see Donny but she knew she had to eventually in order to get the plan done.

The girls enter the elevator and Rhiannon asks "What Do you have planning for today?" As she pushes the button.

Hennessy takes a minute to think oh, does she really want to tell Rhi her own plan or just make something up. "Oh probably just finding something to do around here like I always do."

The elevator stops on Rhiannon's floor "Alrighty if you need anything you know where my offices or if you get bored come Pay me a visit."

Hennessy waited for the doors to close then she headed up to james's office. At this moment she regrets not getting any form of contact information for donny. This Mission seems to be back to square one of riding solo.

The elevator finally gets to Jameses floor. Hennessy ghost open the door and low and behold donny is in there waiting for her.

Once he hears the door open he turns the chair around to face Hennessy "I was starting to think you weren't coming today."

Hennessy smiles and walks into the office "no no of course I'd be here. I wasn't expecting you to be here though since both of us got home so late."

"yeah about that I I kind of never really went to sleep i stayed at one of the apartments in Southside then was here early this morning and found out some information about our mission." Donny explains

Hennessy face lights up

He continues explaining " I wasn't sure what Joes schedule for today was so I went on the computer this morning and found some interesting things. Like shi owns almost the same amount of property we do in Northside and has been planning to take over all of the northside. A lot of different gangs and families or in East side so it's almost impossible to be able to take over all of east side. we have been doing a pretty good job though of keeping our northside even though we don't use it that much."

" wow you are quite the detective sir. Where did you find all of this?" She asks now sitting at the desk

Donny chuckles "Haha let's just say it wasn't the most legal thing to do and it probably shouldn't get out there."

Donny and Hennessy make the day go by extremely fast by goofing off and making each other laugh. Before they know it it's starting to get dark. They head downstairs to meet up with the rest of the family.

"What do you guys say? the bar? maybe the club too?" Joe asks everyone

Everyone agrees

"What about you  Donny ? it's been such a long time since you've partied with us." Joe insists "Come onnn!"

"Yeah sure haha fuck it it has been a while." Donny says while laughing. He turns to Hennessy "You should come too!"

Hennessy smiles and nods. This is the first time someone wants her to tag along.

The Big black car and he should I get him one by one. Hennessy sits in between Donny and Rhiannon;this is where is she would remain for the rest of the night.

They finally pull up to the bar in the east side that's right by the strip club. The plan after some drinks and appetizers was good walk over to the club for a night of partying.

Alyssa leaped out of the car first. She fixes her dress and brushes out her curls then runs inside the bar; without liz

The bar was dark and looked very old school. There was wooden doors and a wooden bar on the right side; on the left side were booths. Music filled the room while the bass shook the place to make it come alive.

Everyone went and sat down at one of the booths and started deciding on drinks and appetizers.

"Pfft losers ordering from the menu?!? couldn't be me." Joe laughed

Alyssa put her menu down "At messy we don't have complicated drinks."

Joe pushed his chair in "Yeah yeah you're mad because you're not best friends with the og bartender."

Alyssa rolled her eyes and laughed "So what are we thinking for appetizers?"

Donny quickly says "I'm getting sliders for sure!"

Hennessy asked "I've never been here; what's good to eat?"

Alyssa gasped "Girllll you've never been here?! This place is legendary it's one of the original bars in the city; at least the east side."

"I've only really been to the club." Hennessy said as she read the menu

Alyssa laughed "Oh that's right you're not even old enough to drink. That's hella funny You're a straight gangsta for that!" She reached her hand out to dab Hennessy up

Hennessy smiled. She thinks she finally just gained respect from the queen bee.

"Mario!" Joe exclaims when she sees the bartender

Mario waves "Joe my man how's it going!"

"Ahh you know ima be honest with you." Joe pauses and looks around "It's going fucking great!"

Both start laughing hysterically

Joe continues "Yeah my boss is out and he left me in charge so i'm the man of the house!"

"Well that's good i'm happy for you...What can i get for you?" Mario replies while polishing a glass

Joe smirks "Man you know me! Scotch...Joe style."

"You got it boss. One minute I gotta give this nice lady her tab." Mario motions to the girl sitting at the bar next to Joe "Here you go miss."

She signs in cursive extremely fast and slides it back before Mario could walk away.

"Alright Joe take care alright." Mario slides the glass across the wood to Joe

The woman looked up right as Joe turned around.

A quiet voice called "Joe?"
