Discretion of readers required,

Tough times create tough people, either make them feirce or break them in most vulnerable ways. It is at that time of our life, truly closed ones are revealed to our heart giving us enough strength admist the ongoing chaos.

The signs of discord seemed to alleviate and lead all into a rumpused dispute which could cost their lives too.

The beautifully embellished haveli hall was all in disarray with brawls as the whole haveli including its lawn was filled with coarse villagers.

Rolling his fists, the short tempered Barrister was controlling much with concerned Bondita on his side.
But a word about his family was too much for him to handle, he was ready to die for his country but not at the cost of his family members.

"Meine Raigarh ki kisano ko wadha kiya aur abb har hal mein usko nibhavunga..." Raged Anirudh declared.

The villager's request and pleadings had turned to warning and mocking at the fright of their village gaining enmity with the sly Britishers.

He was raged, his eyes fuming red as the illiterate villagers questioned his ability, it had hurt him in most arduous ways.
He glanced at his family, all agitated yet statued unable to proclaim or stand for him.
"Shayadh aap sab ko patha nahi, Barrister hone se mein khood bhi paise kamatha hoon aur un paison ko mere parivar ki badon ki hathon mein sop detha hoon.
Afsos yeh bath aapko patha nahi ki mein atmanirbar hoon."
He took a stand for himself but to fall on deaf ears.

Bondita was distraught by the villagers, she could easily feel his agony and so patiently waited for the correct time to speak to for him.
They were one afterall.

Breathing deeply, he roared
"Aaj se balki isi wakth se mein Anirudh, Roy Choudary ka naam yah parivar ke paison ka upyog nahi karoonga.
Mein ek mamool sa Barrister hoon joh aapne desh ke liye lad raha hoon."
His words had startled the crowd as they looked him as an insane person leaving rich leisure life to fight a case for peasants.
While it astonished his family members all gasped at once, sobbing on his impulsive desicion though pained remained speechless.

The villagers feeling relief left the Roy Choudary haveli, though angry at him they all knew their barrister babu was a man of words. Also by now Rajeev, Sumathi had arrived inside.

The thought of his sudden solitary was tearing him inside, even though made his heart stone.
Unharmed, he began to walk yet a sudden adrupt sweet voice stopped him.
"Barrister babu..." she squealed, loosening his rigid heart from worries.

He did not turn while Sumathi tried to stop her nutty daughter from gaffe "Bon.." but was instantly sushed by her dear husband.

"Kya aap apna kuch bhool ke toh nahi jaa rahe, Barrister babu?" She questioned.

"Nahi, Yehaan mera abb kuch nahi hai." His voice stern and hard. He took another step, again was interrupted.

"Kuch nahi?"

"Nahi."

"Kuch nahi hai?"

"Haan, kuch nahi."

"Aapka... kuch nahi hai?"

"Kuch bhi... nahi."

"Acha, toh mein kya hoon?" She asked bluntly perplexing both their families.

As they all stared, she walked to him and turned him, facing eye to eye.
He was in pain, torment, dissolation and it ached her heart.
She shut her eyes in anguish.

Startling all, she stood on her toes as her hands cupped his cheeks to which he held her hands that had caught him, without any prior caution kissed his forehead to which he closed his eyes instantly, it was a kiss of promise and it worked when he finally let his tears to fall which was sliding on his cheeks.
