"Can I ask you something?" Arthur asks after a second
"Sure" Camilo answers
"So will everyone remember this painting as like this or?"
"Everyone besides you and me are the only ones here who have a memory of what this portrait looked like without Y/n" He answers and motions to the family portrait "And another where it looks like this"
"But why?" Arthur asks
"Because you watched it change, otherwise you would have forgotten" Camilo answers "Time is always changing, if Y/n stayed the painting wouldn't change. Its as simple as that"
"That's the thing" Arthur states "I'm sure Ate told you that I do research whenever we go on vacation" Camilo nods "Then why is that I still remember a different history?"
"What do you mean?"
Arthur hums, thinking "There was this part of the book I vividly remember," He closes his eyes, imagining the book infront of him as he reads the paragraph "Part of the first generation of the Madrigal families was Pepa Madrigal who was known for her gift in manipulating the weather with her emotions, just like her husband, Her children who also had received the blessing of a miracle also married someone outside of the family. The oldest, Dolores Madrigal, married Mariano Guzman. The youngest child, Antonio Madrigal married Blanca De Leon." He stops reciting when Camilo clapped and he opens his eyes
"That's right," Camilo nods "Did you memorize that?"
"I have a good memory," Arthur answers "How else am I supposed to get better grades than my perfect-in-the-eyes-of-my-parents-older-sister, if I can't remember such a simple passage from a book?" He sighs "Don't interrupt me again"
"Sorry"
"Well where was I?" he asks before reciting what he remembers "There was nothing an any of my books that says that Camilo Madrigal married Y/n L/n" He crosses his arms and look at Camilo "You didn't marry my sister, you married some girl named" he pauses and looks up thinking again "Ca-? Carmen? Yeah her name was Carmen Rodriguez. You married her after you started dating at twenty years old"
Camilo raises his hand in surrender "Ok before you jump into conclusions" he takes a step back "Carmen and I are just friends. I only ever saw her as that. " he says quickly "Since Y/n came back to the past it will change and so will the books you have read" He points at the painting "Your sister left at three in the morning and only now did the painting change, it will take a while for the books to change and also your memories"
Arthur stays still and looks at the painting "Sorry"
He nods "Its fine" he smiles "You and Y/n jump into conclusions too much." he chuckles "have that much in common. She would always lead me away when she spots Carmen"
He shrugs "Ate doesn't like her, you should hear how she described Carmen to me last night"
"I'm guessing, not good things"
"If you consider a sly bitch that likes to hover around Camilo whenever she's doing chores, then yeah, Ate only ever said good things"
Camilo laughs and looks at Arthur "What about now?"
"What?"
"Your memories, its should've changed by now"
Arthur nods and thinks, everything he remembers from reading history books, to who is who in the Madrigal Family and then he pauses "That's so trippy" he says
"Two different sets of memories?" Camilo offers
"Yeah" Arthur nods "One where you married that Carmen girl and another my sister"
